Story Seeds - Books Delivered to Authors All Around Drogheda!

The latest collection of stories written by primary school students, Story Seeds - Adventures Around Drogheda, was delivered to the authors in schools in the Drogheda area.

Sara Bennett, General Manager, delivered the books with Anita O'Shea, Juvenile Liaison Officer, Drogheda as well as Garda Leon Fox and Garda Tony King of the Community Engagement Team, Drogheda Garda Station on June 1st and 2nd, 2022.

The students - and their teachers - were delighted to receive the books and to receive a night off homework, per the instructions of the Gardaí. In return, they promised to share their books with family and friends and read all five stories in the collection.

Story Seeds Project in Drogheda

It's been a busy six months in Drogheda for Fighting Words. In addition to the primary school story collection, facilitators and mentors have worked with secondary schools, youth groups and adults with additional needs, among others. We have partnered with the LIttle Duke Theatre, Drogheda Library, Drogheda United Football Club and Mosney Village to bring the power of storytelling to the area.

Stories from Drogheda groups will be featured in upcoming film, podcasts and publications - so watch this space!
