Fighting Words is a Gaisce Challenge Partner!

Fighting Words is delighted to announce that we are now a Challenge Partner with Gaisce - The President's Award!

Gaisce – The President’s Award is a self-development programme that encourages young people to find their passion, get active and make a difference in their communities. Gaisce is a direct challenge from the President of Ireland to young people aged 15-25 to dream big and realise their potential.

Over 500 secondary schools in Ireland participate in Gaisce, so chances are your child's school already has a PAL (President's Award Leader) who can provide more information and who will act as your child's mentor as s/he works toward their Gaisce Award. Many young people work toward the Bronze Award in Transition Year.

Fighting Words offers the opportunity to develop creative writing skills via Write Club, which runs on Wednesdays online and meets the Personal Skills requirement of a Gaisce award. Write Club is open to all young people between the ages of 13 and 18.
