Prose Workshop: MAIN SPACE

Secondary school students are coming to Fighting Words to participate in a Prose Workshop. They will chat about the fundamentals of stories and creative writing as a group to warm up. The facilitator will then invite them to form small groups for two minutes to brainstorm characters, settings and a potential conflict. The group will choose one of these and two of the participants will do a short improvisation as the characters selected. This conversation will be typed up and form the basis of the group story, which we will work together on for about forty minutes. After a short break, participants will then head to the tables for some individual creative writing supported by our mentors.
