Playwriting Summer Camp 2025 (14-17 year olds)

Fighting Words staff and volunteer mentors were privileged this year to work with a disciplined, enthusiastic, and creative group of writers aged 14-17 years olds. 

For four days, we explored the craft of playwriting. The camp included exercises on how to create a character, how to use the setting as a source of inspiration, and the importance of collaboration in theatre. Our incredible mentors helped these fantastic individuals craft their own group scenes and individual short plays from scratch. The work each author selected for inclusion is collected here. To all the young playwrights - it has been a joy working with you all.
