Zaza’s Trip

Zaza the explorer has just arrived in Paris for Valentine’s Day to go to Bellingham’s football match. He is Zaza’s best friend since they were born. As Zaza was on the Metro on her way to the football match, she saw a poster about exploring America.

She was immediately interested. There was a phone number on the poster and she called it.

There was no answer and she continued on to the match.

It was the Champions League Final and Bellingham was playing midfield for Real Madrid. As she arrived, Bellingham scored a goal and Real Madrid was now leading 1-0. The match was very important to him and Zaza had promised that she would be there. He saw her in the crowd after he scored and he was delighted.

Just then, Zaza’s phone rang. It was the travel company. She couldn’t hear them so she quickly ran to a quiet corner.

They told her that she was the fifth caller when she rang earlier and she had won two first class tickets to America.

She squealed with delight and immediately thought that she would bring Bellingham with her. The match ended and Real Madrid had 

won 2-0 as Bellingham had scored a second goal. Zaza ran out to Bellingham, hugged him and told him about winning the tickets to America.

Bellingham said, “Maybe the flight might help you get over your fear of heights because you always travel by train or

car or ships.”

Two weeks later, Bellingham and Zaza were on the plane on their way to Las Vegas. An hour before they landed, there was an announcement that they were going through turbulence. Zaza was getting anxious.

“Don’t worry, Zaza,” said Bellingham, “Look at your phone to take your mind off it”.

“Oh no,” cried Zaza as she looked at the screen on her phone …
