Zack’s True Love

Fighting Words, St. Columba's National School, Glasnevin, 4th class, 15th June 2023

Zack was in his house getting ready for his date. He put on body fresh deodorant and his best tuxedo.

It was neon yellow with big furry purple collar. On his feet he has tap dancing shoes which he stole from a little kid’s house who tap-dances.

He is contemplating how to get to the date in style when he sees a rainbow limo outside his house.

He jumps out the window and breaks into the limo.

He starts driving but since he is a dragon, he is a poor driver. The Garda starts chasing him in a helicopter.

Multiple sirens are going on, but he must arrive to the date in style.

He arrives at a very fancy dragon hotel and he enters the restaurant where there is a nightclub inside.

He meets his girlfriend and notices that she is turning red… this means that she doesn’t like the person she is with.

He knows this because he has read about colour changing dragons in a big book at school.

Suddenly, the Garda arrived and arrested his girlfriend. She had attempted to break Salamis legs.

She runs away screaming while asking Zack to help her. Little did she know that Zack had discovered that she does not like him.

She turns pale pink and her scales turn into the love heart shape.

Zack knows what he has to do…
