Sarah & Temu’s Adventure

Fighting Words Monaghan, St. Mary’s NS Ballynarry, Ballyheelin, Co. Cavan, 1st & 2nd Class, 24th June 2026

One day, Sarah the sloth went into the forest, and there she met a unicorn. She wanted to find more unicorns, so she went further into the forest. She took some of the unicorns with her and brought them to her best friend, Temu the Alien, where they watched lots of movies together. The movies they watched were dogman, batman and spiderman. After the movies, they all went back to the forest together, where they found an abandoned campfire.

The searched inside the tent and they saw a potion. It was purply green, in a spherical bottle. It had a label on it, which read: “Drink this, or you’ll be sorry!” They drank it, and then they stepped outside. It tasted like strawberry milkshake. They suddenly began to rise up from the ground. They decided to fly to Sarah the Sloth’s house. It was a redbrick house, with lots of trees around it. When they opened the front door, they found all the unicorns (15 to be precise) lying on the couch, eating all the popcorn hungrily, gobbling it with gusto.

All the teddybears were sitting on purple beanbags. They then left for Temu the alien’s house, and all the unicorns followed them. Suddenly Sarah the sloth looked behind her and cried “We have wings?” They were gold, with white silver bits on them. They were made of iron. When they got to Temu’s house, they found the unicorns lying in his bedroom, watching more movies and snacking. The walls of the bedroom were creamy, and his bed had baby blue covers.

Over the bed, was a beautiful chandelier, with lots of diamonds hanging off it. When they went into the kitchen, they saw the unicorns having a tea party. They had chocolate jeff biscuits, and coffee flavoured tea. “Can these unicorns teleport or something?” asked Temu the Alien with surprise. “I have no idea” answered Sarah. They went outside, and suddenly they both began floating up into the air again. To their horror, they began to float over Lough Sheelin, which they knew had a horrible monster, called Billy 4 eyes. He was once a pet crocodile, but he fell in the lake, and grew bigger and bigger, and now ate everyone who fell in.

S arah and Temu panicked as they began to slowly drop from the sky again towards the dark cold water…
