Mr. Sausage’s Journey

Fighting Words Dublin, St. Oliver Plunkett National School, 3rd Class, 24th September 2026

Once upon a time, there was a sausage called Mr. Sausage. He made a song called “Sausages and Bacon”! He had a friend called Mr. Bacon.

He didn’t have any arms or legs, so he rolled around everywhere. He hoped to become an author one day. His wife nearly got cooked, but she was lucky to escape. His biggest fear was the Oven of Doom!

One day, his wife went away, and he was all alone, and she didn’t come back. A fellow sausage was in the woods, and he was about to kill Mr. Bacon. Mr. Sausage was really worried. There was a pack of wolves there. Without Mrs. Sausage, it was rather hard to turn off the alarm clock.

Mr. Bacon didn’t die, and then he got out of the woods and planned his revenge on Mrs. Sausage. He felt a bit left out when Mr. Sausage was with Mrs. Sausage.

It was Mr. Sausage’s birthday. Mrs. Sausage got Mr. Sausage a present. She got him tickets to watch Sausage FC. He wanted to have a really good day.

She gave him another present, and in that present, bacon was inside. So then Mr. Sausage thought that he wanted to be an author. He might write a story for Mr. Bacon about his day.

Then, he saw the Oven of Doom! He rolled as fast as he could, because he didn’t want to get cooked. But then, a human grabbed him. The humans were having a barbecue day.

But the barbecue was full of food, so he was put in the Oven of Doom! But then, the humans the realised he had been on the ground, and he was really dirty.

So he found a piece of bacon in the oven, and brought it home. He treated the bacon as his baby, and called him Timmy Bacon.

Timmy Bacon was really young. It was nearly his birthday. Just then, there was a terrible smell of smoke…
