Fighting Words Dublin, St. Joseph's CBS, 6th Class, 10th September 2026

Jerry the fish-stick was at home watching TV. He was bored, so he rang up his mate Terry the Lobster.

“Do you want to hit the canal and go fishing?” asked Jerry.

Terry said “Yeah bro, of course.”

They met up in Summerhill and went down to the canal. They jumped into the canal and it led them to the Dodder. Jerry was walking along the side of the canal, and someone threw a cigarette butt at his chin and he also saw cigarettes in the canal. Now he was very terrified of cigarettes. Jerry dropped everything and legged it, leaving Terry behind. Terry felt betrayed, and called after Jerry “Come back!”

Jerry was long gone up to Ballybough. Terry was blowing up his phone with loads of texts.

“You better come back here”

“You’re a fake friend”

“You betrayed me”

“Why did you leave me”

“You better come back here or I’ll batter you”

Jerry felt bad for leaving his friend. He looked at his phone and saw all the texts, and he blocked Terry on all social media. Then he ran home.

Meanwhile, Terry got a taxi to Dublin Airport and went to Turkey and got his teeth done. Then he went to a lake to try and catch a fish. He felt a pull on the fishing rod...
