Alex’s Space Adventure

Fighting Words Westmeath, St. Etchens, 3rd class, 11th February 2026

“Once upon a time there was a boy who wanted to go to space, his name was Alex.

One day he was dreaming and his house turned into a Rocketship. He woke up shocked saying “ I can’t believe my house turned into a Rocketship!”. He heard a rumbling sound and then he looked out of his window.

He couldn’t believe what he saw, he was speechless. He saw that his dream had come to life.

He could barely breathe with excitement. “Oh my god!” he screamed. He went to his mam, Emma’s room to see if she was there. She was crawling on the floor, saw Alex and jumped up to hug him.

“I’m so glad I found you” she said. 

Alex’s Dad, Timmybob was under the bed and he is afraid. While Alex was hugging his mam, he remembered something. He had read a book about space. Suddenly an alarm started beeping saying that they would be landing on planet Rafit immediately.

He ran into his room because he had a space suit and space helmet on his wall. His Dad used to be an Astronaut.

They landed on planet Rafit and then an Alien came to welcome them. “Welcome to Planet Rafit” he said. “My name is Tuffell the Rafit!”.

Alex looked around and saw that some other Aliens decided to welcome them, but it turned out that the Aliens wanted to attack him! They take Alex to the his Kingdom and capture him.

“NOOOO!” he howled. Timmybob tries to save Alex but also gets captured. Suddenly there was an explosion…
