Story Makers Takes Off Online!
Ten schools come together to celebrate new audiobook by partners Fighting Words and Graffiti Theatre Company
Schools across Cork city and county met online to launch the Story Makers Audiobook 2024 on 13 January 2025. From October to December 2024, Fighting Words and Graffiti Theatre Company worked together to deliver creative writing workshops to 10 DEIS primary schools across Cork.
We had the pleasure of meeting 31 teachers and special needs assistants and an amazing 149 children who shared their imaginations with us to create ten completely original stories.
And we mean original! The audiobook has horses in shoe shops, magical necklaces, alpacas who eat coats, toasters, rizzlers, hamsters, dogs, go carts and baby gorillas!
This is the first ever audiobook created by Fighting Words Cork and is pure joy.
