Two new publications!

That's Comical an anthology of graphic fiction by Fourth Year students at Scoil Chaitríona, Glasnevin, and Fighting Words, Stories inspired by visits to the National Gallery of Ireland, a collection of stories written by primary school children were both launched at the National Gallery of Ireland on Thursday evening, 15th May

The students, teachers, volunteer team and gallery staff were joined by writers Sheila O'Flanagan and Gordon Snell who helped to celebrate this double launch. 

Fighting Words, Stories inspired by visits to the National Gallery of Ireland
Ten primary schools from all over Ireland visited the National Gallery of Ireland and were inspired by their tour of the collection and the secrets revealed behind the scenes of the gallery to write a story together.These stories were illustrated by Fighting Words' great volunteer team of artists.

That's Comical
The transition year students from Scoil Chaitríona, Glasnevin spent ten afternoons in the gallery, meeting with the staff, viewing the exhibits and learning about all aspects about life in the gallery. That's Comical is their creative response to these visits.
