The National Conversation on Education Survey

Have your say in helping shape Ireland's education system for decades to come!

The Department of Education has launched The National Conversation on Education, a major national survey designed to gather insights on the future of education in Ireland. It offers a unique opportunity for children, young people, parents, educators and wider society to have their say.

The responses will contribute to the shape of learning experiences for young people in Ireland for the next generation. By participating in the National Conversation survey, you can help highlight the importance of creative writing, creativity, the arts, and culture in education as priorities for consideration.

Your views will help inform issues for discussion on what should change, what should be prioritised, and how to make education better for all children and young people.

Survey contributions will be analysed to identify themes for meetings of the Convention on Education taking place in 2026.

All feedback is welcome in this survey - you can contribute as much or as little as you like.

The National Conversation on Education survey closes on 28 February 2026.
