Fighting Words is Looking for New Board Members!

Our wonderful board of directors provides the overall governance and stewardship for the work of Fighting Words. The board sets out the visions and strategy for our creative writing programme. The members also ensure that our compliance and fiduciary responsibilities are fulfilled. 

At Fighting Words, we work with children, young people and adults who might not have had access to creative opportunities. We have a strong commitment to diversity, equity and inclusion, and strive to work with people from all backgrounds. 

As we continue to grow, our board recruits new members on a rolling basis. At the moment, we are particularly interested in hearing from people who can bring new perspectives - especially in terms of ethnic diversity, young voices, and professional backgrounds such as legal or HR expertise. These are areas that we would be very interested in, but we welcome expressions of interest from anyone who shares our values and commitment to fostering imagination and creativity.
