Fighting Words at Festival of European Literature in Tirana (FELT)
Recently, a team from Fighting Words travelled to Tirana to participate in the Festival of European Literature in Tirana (FELT). Organised by the European Union delegation to Albania in partnership with the Italian Institute of Culture and in collaboration with EU Member States embassies, it brought together well-known writers from a selection of EU countries who connected with Albanian readers and visited high schools and universities.
Ireland was represented by three fantastic authors, who are also Fighting Words mentors: Djamel White, Ciara Geraghty and Hazel Hogan. They had a brilliant time connecting with young writers and shared their own experiences as authors at inspiring panel discussions.
The authors were joined by our Programmes Coordinator, Mark Davidson for two full days of creative writing workshops with young writers!
