Climatry - Young Poets Call for Action

Launch of Climatry at Our Lady Queen of the Apostles National School, Clondalkin, Dublin 22
Young poets moved the audience with their poetry as they called for action and asked others to help make the Earth cleaner!
On Wednesday, 21 June, students of Our Lady Queen of the Apostles National School in Clondalkin celebrated the launch of their poem collection Climatry together with the Fighting Words team.

The Project
Climatry was born in 2023 when Paula Galvin, teacher from Our Lady Queen of the Apostles National School, contacted Fighting Words with the hope of sharing her class' poetry about climate justice out into the world.
From there, Fighting Words was invited to the school to work with 2nd, 4th and 5th class groups to discuss the current effects of climate change and the possibility of how Earth can be in the future.

Awareness, Knowledge and Call for Action
Their poems were put together in this collection to be published digitally on our website, and in our 100 Years Project Anthology. Each poet received printed booklets of their poems.
Each poem is full of awareness, knowledge and a call for action.
