The 100 Years Project exhibtion at TTU

Jumping Into the Time Machine with TTU AFL Students!

At the beginning of June, 2023, Tatung University Department of Applied Foreign Languages (TTU AFL) and Fighting Words held a story exhibition for the 100 Years Project at the Zhi-sheng Memorial on the Tatung University campus in Taipei. This is the third year running that Fighting Words has collaborated with TTU AFL on a creative project.

As part of the 100 Years Project, we ask people of all ages the question:  “What was life like a hundred years ago or how will it be 100 years from now?”

TTU AFL students translated some of these stories into Mandarin Chinese and created matching illustrations! They also collaborated with the National College of Art and Design (NCAD) in Dublin for voice dubbing for the animations created by the art students.

Creating English Story Workbooks

The artworks and more were showcased in the exhibition.

Visitors were not only able to see the translated stories, illustrations and the NCAD video with Chinese dubbing but also could take home four different pamphlets with fantastic stories and games in them.

Congratulations to all the students involved in the exhibition - it was a great success!
