Just Us
An exciting project with the US Embassy in Ireland exploring themes of diversity, equity, and inclusion with primary school students

What is Just Us?
In April of 2021, Fighting Words and the U.S. Embassy in Ireland collaborated on the Just Us project – a series of anti-discrimination workshops held across Ireland, which involved ten schools and eleven class groups, ranging from 4th to 6th class.
The stories have been published in a new collection, featuring all the stories written by the students and illustrations by Fighting Words volunteer story illustrators and the student authors.
All the stories explore themes of anti-discrimination, identity and community in a variety of fantastically creative ways!
Looking at this work, I am even more convinced that young people can help show us the way as we strive to address the challenge of racism and exclusion in our societies- Christopher Wurst Acting Deputy Chief of Mission / Director for Public Affairs, U.S. Embassy Dublin, Ireland
