Wild and free

Amber the horse really didn’t like the farm that she was on at the moment. Her owners were thinking of selling her. She was sick of being worked and she needed a rest.

She had to plough fields every single day. She was heartbroken that she was being worked but other horses were having a better life. Amber just wanted to be free!

The owners were thinking of selling her best friend Oinker the pig as well.

“We need to escape,” said Amber. “Oink!” replied Oinker.

“Is that the only thing you’re going to say?”

They managed to escape as they ran across the fields.

“It’s my dream to be free and not have people working me any more so I can do whatever I want.

People aren’t bossing me around and I can go wherever I want!” said Amber happily.

The only place Amber couldn’t go was the deep dark woods. That’s where the hunters lived.

They galloped to the top of the mountain and saw a beautiful place in the distance but realised they had to cross the woods to get there…
