The dancers and the crazy dog

Once upon a time there was a girl called Lexie.  She was tall and had long golden hair.

She loved freestyle dancing more than anything in the world.

Lexie went to a dance competition and met a girl called Ruby.  They had so much in common that they quickly became best friends.

Ruby was a champ and Lexie was a premier champ. Ruby said to Lexie, “What do you want to be when you’re older?”

“I would love to be a dance teacher,” said Lexie. “The only problem is that there’s a girl I know that doesn’t want me to be a dance teacher. She’s jealous of me and threatening to get her vicious talking dog after me.”

“I’ve never heard of a talking dog before,” said Ruby.

Lexie said, “It started when the dog took a deaf person’s medication. After that, she was suddenly able to talk”.  “What is her name?” asked Ruby.

“Her name is Maxine and she lives down Cats’ Lane,” replied Lexie. “She is white with a pink afro.”

“This is crazy! Will you show me the dog?” asked Ruby.

“I don’t want to go down there because I’m terrified of the dog, but Cats’ Lane is near the dance hall. You might see her when we’re going dancing later.”

That evening they went down to the dance hall.  As they were going by Cats’ Lane, they saw the dog, whose eyes went red when she saw them. The dog said, “I never want to see you dancers here again. I’ll give you five seconds to get out of here. 5…4…3…2…1…”
