Patrick the Superhero & His Fish Best-friend’s Adventures

Fighting Words Limerick Watch House Cross Library Summer Camp, 12th August 2026

Once upon a time, Patrick the Super-hero used a time-machine to go to the future. When he jumped out of the machine, he saw he was in a forest full of nature and wildlife. All of a sudden *snap* a tree fell down crushing the time-machine and it exploded. Patrick ran away shouted “Oh noooooooo!!!”

He passed his fish who had an ice-cream cone on his head. The explosion had sent it flying into a nearby lake. Patrick was so stressed out that he ate the ice-cream cone!

He tried to make himself invisible so that the fish wouldn’t see him scoffing the ice-cream. However, he quickly realised that he couldn’t! In the future, eating ice-cream meant that his powers wouldn’t work.

He walked and walked and walked.. along with his ice-cream-less fish friend until the came across a cottage in the woods. There was nobody home, so they went inside as they were tired and hungry. When they went in they saw strawberry, banana, chocolate-chip and ketchup cookies, lots of them. There was also an ice-cream cone making machine, specifically, for fish heads.

Afterwards, they went to bed. Later on they heard someone coming through the door and straight up the stairs...it was… Santa!
