Back from Fairyland
Fighting Words Limerick Rathkeale Library Library Summer Camp, 21st August 2026
Once upon a time in a school not so far away, two friends, Ellie the invisible girl and her best friend Tess are taking a test.
Ellie didn’t want to do the test, so she decided to make herself invisible and sneaks out of the classroom.
She goes behind the school and looks in the classroom window but when she looks in the window she loses her invisibility and her friend Tess sees her and asks the teacher if she can go to the toilet but secretly sneaks out to her friend.
The teacher thinks she is gone too long and goes to look for her. When she realises she isn’t in the bathroom, she goes to the principle to report the girls missing.
Meanwhile, Ellie and Tess have gone to the library because they love reading the books and doing colouring.
When Ellie touched the books, they disappeared and portal opened. Ellie and Tess stepping into the portal and were transported to Fairyland.
When they arrived, they shrunk to a tiny size and they meet a small little fairy called Christina.
When they turned around to try and go back through the portal, it had disappeared!
Their only choice was to ask the Christina the fairy for help but she said “I will only help you if you do what we say”.
Christina wanted help to turn a big mushroom small and wanted the girls to clean the whole of Fairyland with only one toothpick.
The final task was finding a special flower, this will help them to make a magic potion that would open the portal so the girls can go back home. The potion will also make them invisible and they can go back in time to the classroom so the teacher wouldn’t know they were gone at all.
When they arrived back they had fairy wings, a tiny flying guinea pig came through the portal with them and became their pet. However, a black monster with big teeth and red eyes followed them through the portal. The teachers spotted the monster and they started to scream “HELP!! SAVE US! CALL THE POLICE!! CALL 999 OR ANIMAL CONTROL!”
The monster started to run...
