On Thursday 20th and Friday 28th a group of young people from Saol Hub in Ballyfermot a short screenplay in the scary movie genre.

Rainbow 17, Funky, Cool, Retro colours in their hair, shy on the inside, gives good advice, caring.
Jimmy 16, has crush a rainbow, bad boy, prankster, he’s a rebel.
Acid-Face likes to dress up, appeals to the dark side of Jimmy, Jim’s mam doesn’t like it when they are together
Mam, Tara, loving, loves her family, loves soap operas, loves to read, basketball
Dad, Chad, likes to cook, baking, likes to watch boxing matches on tv, uses the Wii on the TV

Was that sound in the Scream movie?
Jimmy
Could be . . . and I think there’s a phone ringing, could it be Ghost-face?
Rainbow
Is that who is upstairs . . . or maybe it’s the pizza man on the phone?
Jimmy
It could be . . should we go and check it out?
Rainbow

Rainbow pushes Jimmy.
Jimmy

Rainbow

The lights flicker in the dark creaky creepy hallway.
Jimmy
You creepy nut.
Rainbow
Say what now??
Rainbow falls against the door to the attic.
Jimmy
Ya feckin ejit!
Rainbow (Loudly)
What did you say?
Jimmy
What’s that up in the attic?
Rainbow
I’ll go up and see what ever is up there.
Jimmy
Okay, go ahead I’ll hold the ladder.
Rainbow opens the attic and gets covered in cob-webs. Acid-Face walks towards Rainbow and pushes her out of the attic and says.
Acid-Face
Stay away from my attic or I’ll throw acid on your face, and you’ll look like me.
Rainbow (Screams)
AAAWWWWWWWW!!!!!!!
She leans and falls back down the ladder into Jimmy’s arms.
Rainbow
Thank you, Jimmy you saved my life. My life just flashed before my eyes.
Jimmy (Confused)

Scene Two
The day before. In Jimmy’s House.
Jimmy
Rainbow was talking to Steo the GAA player yesterday and looking at him and curling her hair.
Acid Face
Should we prank her?
Jimmy

Acid Face
It’s now or never.
Jimmy

Acid Face
I’ll scare her!
Jimmy

I’ll throw something in her face.
Jimmy

Rainbow’s parents are gone away on holiday. She will be home on her own tomorrow, I’ll order a pizza and we can watch a movie with her and keep it cool until you make a bang in the attic.
Acid Face

Scene Three
The parents come back from their holidays.

Chad the Dad
You have some explaining to do young lady.

Oh my God it’s all my fault.
Acid face takes of his mask to reveal a face painting with musical signs.

All of sudden we hear the song Fire by Gema Gogo playing. Rainbow and Mam/Tara start to dance.
After a while Acid face starts to do a strange dance.
Then, Jimmy and Chad the Dad join in on the chorus. They all start singing.

Tara/Mam
And you are grounded young lady.
Acid face starts to mimic Tara/mam and says.

And you are grounded young lady.
Jimmy
Stop, Acid face. Don’t do that.
Chad the Dad
Don’t mimic my wife stupid face!
Tara/Mam
Jimmy can see Rainbow as many times as he wants, and you are going to leave this house and never come back.
Acid face
I don’t think so.
Chad the Dad
Don’t talk to my wife that way.
Jimmy pulls Acid Face out of the house. When they get out of the house he says . .

Don’t ever come back here again.
