The daring adventures of Eleando

Fighting Words Monaghan,  Authorfy Book Club 8-12 year, 11th March 2025

When Eleando took his first gasp he looked around him. He was stolen from his home and was put in a bag. The bag was thrown into a meal lorry and it arrived on a farm. The bag was thrown in a big shed and it was thrown in a toilet. It was flushed down the toilet. Down in the sewer he met his friend Ronan and he was glad to see him as he thought he had gone missing. Ronan had organised a search party from their pack and the dogs of all shapes and sizes were waiting down there. Ronan was trying to find a way to escape and he said “we’ve been looking everywhere for you”.

Then they heard a loud noise and everyone was scared.  The loud noise turned out to be a group of cats. There was also a snake, as long as two double decker buses.  They all seemed afraid of each other and afraid of war.  The large snake started circling around the large pack of dogs.

Eleando led the team back up the toilet to escape. Suddenly one of the cats jumped up and tried to pull Ronan back down. Eleando grabbed his paw and helps him up. The cat stayed holding on and climbed up the pipe as well. Someone flushed the toilet and they all fell down. They landed on the big snake’s head and knocked it out. Once they knocked the big snake out they ran for the sewers. Everyone was annoyed with Eleando because his idea for escape plan didn’t work.

They all left Eleando behind, to weep. Ronan decided to tell Jimmy the Corgie who is the leader of the pack that he is going to go back to get Eleando.

When he came back Eleando was lying on the floor crying.

A figure jumped out of the snake’s mouth, it was Brutish the bulldog.

Whenever they went over to Eleando, they nudged him and he wasn’t moving.
