Zach the Beaver and the Stolen Frog Dog

The Farney Book Wizards after-school book club for national school children set up by Carrickmacross Library that meets once a month.  Their ages range from 9 years to 12 years old. 

Zach the Beaver and Frog Dog were playing tag at the river In the middle of the woods in Dún Na Beaverland.

If they had looked close enough, they would have noticed a human child spying on them.

The child’s parents worked in Beaverland Zoo.  He had never seen a Frog Dog before and he planned to capture him to show his parents.

The child ran home to find his dad’s fishing net and returned to find Zach the Beaver and Frog Dog had moved away.

Meanwhile, Zach the Beaver and Frog Dog had gone home for dinner.  Suddenly, they heard a twig snapping.  They turned to see what was there and saw a human child coming towards them with a large fishing net held high. 

The child lunged forward and captured Frog Dog.

“Oh no! “exclaimed Zach “What will I do?” …
