The Mysterious Footsteps

Sage was having a tea party in the forest with her animal friends. The squirrel and the mouse were arguing over who got the last cookie.

Sage thought it would be a good idea to go buy more cookies from the shop.

“Hello Steven,” said Sage, while Steven was scanning the sticker on a pineapple.

“Hi,” mumbled Steven, not looking up from the pineapple.

“I want to buy five cookies,” said Sage.

“They’re on the shelf at the back,” Steven answered.

“Thanks for the help,” replied Sage.

She came back from the shop alone to find two of her friends dead! There were strange footprints leading away from the crime scene…
