Uncle Eliza

Scoil Athar Maitiú 6th Class, at Crawford Art Gallery, County Cork 27th of May 2019

 Mary couldn’t believe what she was hearing; her beloved Uncle John was gone. It was going to be a long voyage. Mary hugged her doll tightly.

‘Oh why is life so hard!’ said Mary thinking about her Uncle.

Her doll, Eliza, had extremely soft, black hair that almost seemed real, and although her frock had once been lovely and new it was now old. 

Aither’s Adventure

Aither Astroid was a white fox with blue horns and black wings that lived in a painting in the Crawford Art Gallery. He sneaks out at night sometimes to get food.

Every day when the children come they touch and stroke the painting and he doesn’t like it! 

Every time they touch the painting he disappears into another picture.

The Attack of the Bananas

In the dangers of the jungle lived the orang-utan named Darwin and his trusty side-kick Turner the Turtle. 

Turner the Turtle was not slow he was super fast. Every year the banana wrangler Peely, came into the jungle to hunt all the animals. 

But of all the times he had come, he had only managed to hunt five animals. This year he is coming, but he won’t get anyone because a new superhero has arrived in the jungle.

Rebecca’s birthday

It was Rebecca’s 11th birthday. Her party was at her Granny’s house.

Rebecca’s mum had made the chocolate cake, which was Rebecca’s favourite.

Rebecca’s Granny gave her a present. The present was in a small colourful box.

The Good, The Squishy and The Ugly

One day, Baguette Boi and his best friend Spread, the Lump of Butter, were at a cafe. 

Spread had to be careful about heat, so they were sitting outside. 

This was the fanciest cafe in town. There was a TV in the cafe and on the TV, the news reporter was talking  about sightings of Blippys in the city.

Cookie Gang

Galway Educate Together National School, Newcastle Road, Galway City, 5th Class

Oscar the Oreo lives in the “Reduced To Clear” section in Pesco. His friend Patricia the Pie lives on the shelf opposite him. 

They meet up in a bar underneath the shelves. Obese Owen lives underneath the Oreo shelf.

Patricia and Oscar argue about who tastes better. Oskar says, “I’m nicer because I’m a cookie.”

Peter is in a Pickle

St. Laurence’s NS, Greystones​, 4th class, County Wicklow, 23rd May 2019

Once upon a jar, Pickle Peter was standing on another pickle trying to get out of the dreaded jar.

Steve the Olive, his best friend, was too weak to open the jar so Peter started using his shoulder to knock the jar over and break both his and Steve’s jar.

The person in the house was getting dinner ready so had Steve and Peter’s jars out on the counter. 

A Troublesome Spice Bag

As Harvey the Beagle was walking down the street, he saw an ad for a spice bag.

Harvey saw the spice bag and thought that it looked super delicious. His friend Buster the Pig came along from the farm.

“Hey, Buster, come look at this,” said Harvey. “I really want to know how this spice bag tastes.”

The Sausage Thief

Hi, I’m Barry and today I saw a blue van and it chased me. 

I ran away but I noticed Sammy in the rear window of the van. 

Sammy the Sausage has been my best friend since I was born.

“The battle of the banquet is on today. I have to get out of here,” thought Christian the Cornish pastry.

The battle of the banquet happens every coronation and the pastries are fighting the German Wiener Schnitzels for their right to be on the table at the banquet.

“I really want to win the battle” he thought “but I really want to take Christina the custard cream pastry on a date first.

Gucci the Sushi Roll: Big Tay Strikes Back

Gucci and Patrick were walking down the street when Gucci jumped onto Patrick’s lid. Patrick is a jar of mayonnaise. 

Gucci is a Californian Sushi roll that wants to own a Japanese Hair Dryer Co.

Then, all of a sudden, Gucci’s arch enemy, Big Tay, walked up to them and shoved cakes into their faces. “Hey!” said Gucci.

Uni the Unicorn’s terrible nightmare

One day Uni the Unicorn was in her magical land when she fell off a small building as she was feeling sick and tired.  

When Uni fell she landed on the ground which made a bit of a hole.  It was there she found magical sparklers next to her.  

But she thought they were normal sparklers.  She picked them up and she shook them around like normal sparklers…but suddenly she disappeared!

Johnny and Trey’s amazing adventures

Our story begins in a field where Johnny is eating grass with Trey the tortoise. 

Johnny starts drinking from a bucket of dirty brown rainwater.

‘Let’s go down to the river,’ Johnny exclaimed to Trey the tortoise, ‘the very river where I met you under that moist leaf you live under.’

The Adventures of Monty Dublin

One Sunday evening, Monty Dublin was sitting on his couch watching the World Cup.

Monty noticed he was sitting on his best friend, mouldy Buttered Bagel. 

At that moment, his father came down the stairs in his sunflower costume.

The Return of Loughlan

“I never thought that Tiddlez the unicorn could fly, but he’s flying away now and pooping out skittles,” said Tyler the Secret Ninja to himself.

Tyler was standing in the sewer with his head poking out of the drain watching Tiddlez fly away. 

He was crying because Tiddlez was his only friend.

The French Bean & The Dragon
