Dublin Zoo

Emily the penguin lived in Dublin Zoo. She was happy living with her friends and family. 

Her best friend was a sea lion called Rosilla.

Emily’s favourite foods were tuna, cod, and chocolate ice cream. The penguins loved to play sport. 

A Swim at Seapoint

It was evening and the sun was still shining. It was a hot day.

Charlotte was rushing to get onto the train because she was late for swimming after work at the bank. She was going to Seapoint.

Charlotte ran onto the train with a cup of coffee while forgetting her phone at the coffee shop. 

Bruno’s Big Adventure

One day, Bruno the Parrot was travelling with his friend Pedro Pony. 

They were going into a jungle and they came across a river with crocodiles in it. 

Bruno had a flashback. 

The Magic Toothbrush

Community After Schools Programme, Portland Square. 2nd July 2018

One dirty day, a toothbrush woke up to start doing good work, like going around, scrubbing the town with its brush. 

The town was called Annie and her teeth were the houses. 

All the houses were yellow. The night before, it was raining fizzy drinks (Annie loved fizzy drinks).

The Depressing Life of a Pickle

There was a war between pickles and potatoes in Kerry. 

All the way down South Kerry, Rick the Pickle and Paddy the Potato were talking about how they were going to be free of the war. 

Rick and Paddy’s families were friends who hated the war. “Come on, let’s leave,” said Rick the Pickle. 

The Football Championship

The Football Championship by Group 2, 26th June 2018

Football. Two friends – boy and girl
Boy: 16, named Hazad
Girl: 14, named Soraya-Aoife

Hazad and Soraya-Aoife were in the park. It was sunny and hot, about 25 degrees. 

They played some basketball and then some football. 

Cheeky Mouse and Karissa

There once lived a mouse named Cheeky Mouse. His nickname was Karate-Mouse because he loved karate.

He was a black belt in karate.

Cheeky Mouse’s greatest dream was to get a pet rainbow cat but his Dad and Mam were scared that a cat would eat them all!

The pirates had long, long beards and they smelled like trash and dead fish.

The Adventures of Monty Dublin

One Sunday evening, Monty Dublin was sitting on his couch watching the World Cup.

Monty noticed he was sitting on his best friend, mouldy Buttered Bagel. 

At that moment, his father came down the stairs in his sunflower costume.

The Return of Loughlan

“I never thought that Tiddlez the unicorn could fly, but he’s flying away now and pooping out skittles,” said Tyler the Secret Ninja to himself.

Tyler was standing in the sewer with his head poking out of the drain watching Tiddlez fly away. 

He was crying because Tiddlez was his only friend.

The French Bean & The Dragon

Once upon a time there was a dragon called Danny who lived in the village of SquiddyMac.

There was a villain in the village called Finny who didn’t like dragons with fins.

Danny’s best friend Mr Fassio the French bean, was out on a walk with him.

Billy and Dave

On a normal day, Dave the block of cheese was in the fridge. On this day, however, the human had left the fridge door open.

This had never happened before. This was to be the first time Dave could live his dreams. Dave was going to escape from the fridge.

Dave jumped out of the fridge. He looked back to see his best friend, Billy the Low-Fat Milk, firing peas out of the door. 

The Orphan Samurai

St Patrick’s National School,, Castleknock, 5th Class, 14 June 2018

In 1992, Samuel the Samurai was found on the streets of Tokyo and brought to an orphanage. He was only two months old.

While he was being brought to the orphanage, the lady carrying him picked up a chicken bucket with “Bing Bong” written on it. 

They were raised like brothers and trained together all their lives.

The Great Escape

Geoff the Giraffe is trudging through the lush tropical jungle.

He is feeling blue because he is trapped in North Korea.

Suddenly, Geoff catches a glimpse of a petite and peculiar blue creature waving at him from a little plane in the sky.
