The Adventures of Guy in Shelf

Once upon a time July the Penticorn had a friend like a dragon called Guy in Shelf.

July found Guy in Shelf when he was the size of an ant and he was lying down. 

Guy in Shelf wears fake Gucci because he can’t afford real Gucci.

2019 Madness

Ogalmoc the Troll was in Easons in O’Connell Street buying Match Attax cards. 

He was a very smelly and stinky troll because he had no shower in his house. Everyone noticed him because he was smelly.

Ogalmoc left the shop and saw a Lamborghini. The driver was a pig called Burnt Bacon. 

Zest Quest

St. Andrew’s, Booterstown​, 6th class, 12th December 2019

A long time ago the society of lemons created lemon squisher on a tropical island. All who entered the lemon squisher would enter lemon land.

It was Zesti the lemons greatest ambition to become the chosen lemon. 

But it would be a long road and Zesti would face many tough times on the seas of lemonade. 

A Trip to Hawaii

Once upon a time there was a black and white cat called Vincent.

Vincent’s best friend Pigsly the Pig got him tickets to Hawaii. He missed the plane.

Just then, all the lights went off except for one. Vincent was so scared that he called a private jet. 

The Betrayal

It was a small town and in the town there was a bench. 

This is a true story! Loads of people have gone missing, including Vector the Vagabond.

Vector was captured by an old lady named Jennie who also took everybody else, including Timmy the Toe’s uncle, Jimmy the Barber. 

Scar the Super-hero Cat

Once upon a time there was a cat called Scar, the Superhero cat. 

His greatest wish was to have fish to eat.  His best friend was Tom, the talking cucumber.

One day, Scar saw a monster.  Prince Ben saved Scar from the evil monster.  

The Saviour of the Ice-wolf

St. Fergal’s NS, 2nd class, County Wicklow, 10th December 2019

There was a wolf that lived on the top of Mount Everest, called Frostbite.

One day when he was half way through his dinner he slipped and fell down into the deep snow. 

Frostbite slid down the side of the mountain. He got a cut on his eye and he was mutated into a giant wolf with ice spikes on his back. 

The Extraordinary Adventures of Oliver the Olive

St. Nicholas’ Parochial School, 5th & 6th Class, County Galway

In an olive farm in France Oliver the Olive meets Gary the Grape. Ricardo the bodybuilder finds them in the kitchen and is about to eat them. 

Just as he’s about to pop them in his mouth Ricardo remembers he’s late for a flight to Galway. 

He drops Oliver the Olive and Gary the Grape and races off to catch his flight from France to Galway where he’s going to do some break-dancing.

Steve & Bob's Adventure

Scoil Iognáid, 2nd Class, County Galway                                        

Once upon a time Steve the Secret Banana and Bob the Pineapple were walking to the pet shop and they met Rosie the Duck.

Rosie told them about how dangerous humans were with their Smoothie Makers. They ran away from the Smoothie Makers and looked for a guard dog to protect them. 

They found one called Tankie.

Searching for The Crystal

Scoil Iognáid​, 2nd Class, County Galway

This story is about Taco El Matcho the cutie monster. He was an awesome guy who liked random stuff. 

His teacher was always giving out to him because he was usually late to school. 

Taco carried taco guns which he shot tacos out of to feed everyone.

One stormy night. Cold was the night.  In a small little village, in a small little street in a small little orphanage, in a small little kid there was a big imagination and a big dream.

Suddenly there was a big earthquake.  He was having a dream.  The earthquake was happening outside of his body and it sent him into his nightmare.

The first thing that came to his sight was a cat.  A talking cat.  An evil cat.

Jim and the Magic Pen

North Monastery Primary, 5th Class, County Cork, September 14th 2018

This story is set in Canada. A pen was being shipped from India to Canada. 

Jim Boston went to a library in Canada and finds a book that tells him what the magic pen can do. 

Then he turned to the next page and found a pen. He also finds a map that helps him find the magic pen. 

Cocoa & Hugs

Once upon a time there was a Panda-bear called Hugs. 

Her best friend was a Yorkie called Cocoa. She lived in a big back garden with her owner.

They were on holidays and she got lost in the woods.

Jimmy's Adventure in Search of the A+

St Michael's National School, Ballyduff Upper, 5th Class, County Cork

Jimmy was on his way home from after-school study with Freddie, when he was ambushed by bullies. 

His best friend Freddie fell, so he had to run back to get a plaster for him, but it wouldn't really stick, because he couldn't find a solid part of his body – he had no bones. 

Jimmy started talking to Freddie and the bullies were wondering who he was talking to.

I woke up and couldn't remember anything since I landed here, facing the moon. 

The first thing I could smell was a strong smell of smoke and the first thing I could see was what I thought was fog. 

Suddenly I caught a glimpse of the daunting, scary trees which reminded me of the setting of my father's death.

They looked in the boot and Larry the Lover was in there. 

After a while they went to the man at the counter and said “How much for the car?”

Bimbo’s Magical Adventure

One day in a little cloud, a unicorn appeared. Jake was standing on the cloud.

“We need to go to Candyland, Bimbo,” said Jake.

Just as Bimbo was about to answer, it started to rain and the cloud evaporated. They fell to the ground.

Its late at night, Philip the farting potatoe is walking in Crispy Grass Park, playing with is yoyo.  

When suddenly he spots a big scary old ancient house in the distance.  

He hasn’t noticed this house before, so he is curious and he walks towards it. 

Dog’s Life

Terrified of being eaten by a T-Rex, Pog the dog lives on a farm in the middle of no where with a few chickens, a sheep and a goat. 

Paulie the Puppy goes to Pog the dog looking very worried and says “I can’t find Popcorn the Poptart cat”. 

Football Phobia

Parke National School, Castlebar, Mayo, 5th and 6th Class, 22 November 2016

Jason the duck was in Duck Park training fields, once again trying to overcome his fear of footballs with his friend Percy Pegasus.

When Jason was four years old, he had fallen over a football and fractured his leg, which was very painful and left him bedridden for three months. 

It happened during the hottest summer ever recorded in Duckton Town.

Revenge Of The Killer Clowns

Voluptuous Jack and his best friend Trytineous Graham were in the middle of nowhere. 

Trytineous Graham said he needed to go to the toilet. 

On his way to the toilet, through the bushes, he heard a stick snap. 

When Stuff Goes A Bit Too Far

Franklyn the Funny Man was walking down the street heading for Sweetland Circus in San Francisco. 

He collected his car from the garage, got behind the wheel, started the engine.

All the people on the street ran for their lives.

Sparkles’ Adventures

Sparkles the unicorn woke up in her marshmallow house on a dark and cloudy morning.  

She ate her usual breakfast of rainbow drops and saw that it was raining bubbles outside.  

Sparkles felt frightened because she was very afraid of bubbles.

What Granny Did

Lucas the genius woke up early in his granny’s house.  He looked at a picture of his parents beside his bed. 

Both his parents had been killed three years previously, testing out their new prototype of their time machine.  

The newspaper headlines had said, Two People Killed In A Bizarre Car Crash On A Quiet Country Road.

Gertrude and the Battle of Plastics

Gertrude the turtle and Pelly the pufferfish were in the Marianas Trench. 

They were doing their daily litter check when they heard a big fart noise in the ocean. 

The whole ocean shook. It turned out that it was an underwater volcano that started shooting out plastic straws, other plastic rubbish and cans.

The Adventures of Sprinkles the Dohnut

Once upon a time there was a dohnut called sprinkles. His biggest fear was to be eaten by a giant called Barry. 

One day sprinkles the dohnut was walking outside with his best friend choco the chocolate bar when barry came along.

When barry walked down the streets the roads cracked in half. 

Townie Troubles.

One day Jimmy was doing the silage, and his friend Bobby came over and started jumping in it. 

Jimmy jumps out of the tractor and says “Get back into the digger and stop jumping on the silage”.

Loads of Townies from Baltinglass came over and said “Let’s blow all our silage away with our leaf blowers”.

The Girlfriend Stealer

Once upon a time there was a girl called Goth girl who lived in the woods. Her house was all black and she didn’t have any electricity or internet.

One day she went out into the woods and found a fairy who didn’t like goodness either.

“Please can I have a black gem?” asked Goth girl.

The night of evil

Plot: 
One night a wolf called Scar was crowded out of his cave by Pengy the penguin. 

“Your food looks disgusting, so horrible I’m going to have to kick you out.” He said. “It’s my cave, you get out.” Growled scar. 

Scar followed to chase him but saw the red moon and got distracted howling at it.

He was thinking about making memes when he saw a kid. 

He ran away screaming. He ran so fast that he got to Russia without realising how far he had travelled.

The Colour of Winter
