Elizabeth and the Missing Dog

St Fiachra’s Junior National School, Beaumount, 2nd Class, 18th November 2019

Elizabeth the Barbie Doll was playing on the slides in the park. 

After the slides, she brought her dog Jeff for a walk.

Elizabeth went to Centra to buy potatoes and dog food. She went to the till to pay. 

The Jammy Adventure

Dublin Book Festival, 16 November 2019

Once upon a time there was a villain, that was a pig wearing a tuxedo. His home was an evil lair in a barnyard, where everyone was evil – even the eggs.

Then Billy Bob the coffee cup was thrown away into a bin at the barnyard. 

Then Pig wearing a Tuxedo finds Billy Bob and jumps into the bin to get him.

Elizabeth and the Dragon

Once upon a time there was a dragon rider called Elizabeth. She was very shy. 

She was also very adventurous.

Elizabeth was friends with Dinky the Doughnut. She was very hungry and tried to eat Dinky. 

Joseph and the technicolour mystery

All Saints,  Blackrock, 4th, 5th and 6th class, 13th November 2019

Joseph opened his eyes to find Billy the cat lying on top of him, licking his face.  Joseph groaned because he was tired.

He quickly threw Billy off his chest to check the clock.  It was 8 o’clock and he was already late for detective school, again!

He poured himself a bowl of dry cereal. There was nothing he hated more than milk.

Loveheart and Froggy go home

Once upon a time in the jungle there was a little puppy called Loveheart who was trying to find his way home.

In the lake he saw his friend Froggy the Frog. 

He saw that Barry the crocodile was in the water as well so Loveheart tried to save Froggy. 

Trisha and Her Donkey

Once upon a time there was a girl called Trisha who worked as a vet in California.

Trisha was in A&E with Bridget the donkey. Bridget had fallen down the stairs.

Trisha’s mam came into the room and she fainted. Bridget the donkey licked her face and Trisha’s mam woke up.

Owen and The Cursed World

There was once a half human, half robot, half alien called Owen. He was trapped underground. Owen’s cellmate was Maya, the half dog-half robot.

An evil villian called Mr. McTonkey who had taken over the world. Owen was furious that Mr. McTonkey had taken over the world. He wanted to take it back.

“I have an idea!” shouted Maya.

Finn and Jake’s Big Adventure

Mercy School, St. John’s Road Wexford, Co. Wexford, 5th Class, 8th November 2019 

Once there lived a dragon called Finn and an orangutang called Jake.

They lived on dragon island.

They had never met a person before.

The reason they are on an island is because all the others dragons have been eradicated by people and Finn is the only dragon left.

Mr. Moody and the hypnotised lion

Once upon a time, there lived an old man called Mr. Moody, with his side kick, Rio, the lion.

They lived far, far away from the town, in Slovenia.  His super power was to hypnotise people, since he was a baby.

One day he was so angry he hypnotised his side kick Rio by making him do all the work around the house.

Louie and the Popcorn Shoes

​Once there was a lion named Louie. Louie was afraid of popcorn. 

He was afraid that Popcorn would go up his nose and give him a heart attack.

One day he was outside when he saw a pair of shoes on the ground. 

Bob A and Barta's School Trip

One day in school Bob A was going on a tour with his class to a haunted house. 

The bus driver was really, really mean. Bob A wanted to get rid of the bus driver and needed help to do it.

He teamed up with Barta, his best friend, to annoy the bus driver. 

Blueblop and George

Croi Ro Naofa JNS, 2nd Class, County Wicklow, 27th February 2019

There once was a mutant called Blueblop. Blueblop was mad because he wanted to be a person. 

One day he saw a stray dog and he brought it to his house. He became best friends with George.

When Blueblop woke up the next morning, he saw that George was kidnapped! 

The Dragons Save The World

Once upon a time there was a cat named Lightfury. They had the body and wings of a dragon but tail of a lizard. 

They lived in Knockandburn Castle inside a volcano. His greatest fear was Flynn the magic evil dragon.

One Thursday when Lightfury got up, they went out of the volcano onto the grass. 

Al and Cheesy's Army

Once there was a flying taco and his name was Al. His best friend was Cheesy the Spotty Cheese. 

They met one day in a shop when Cheesy accidentally stuck cheese on Al.

“We have fused,” Al said. They high-fived and wished for a new power.

Tiger the Tiger

Tiger the Tiger was trying to collect as many things as he could. 

Tiger met his best friend, Tadhg the Lion, in his secret place. 

“Let’s go look for food in the desert,” says Tadhg. 

Robo and Max's Adventure

St. Thomas’, 4th Class, County Wicklow, 7th February 2019

Once upon a time in Popoville, there was a dog called Max with an owner who always talked and chit-chatted.

One day when Max was barking, “stop talking,” at his owner, something strange happened. His owner stopped blabbing.

Then, after sixty seconds of silence while his owner Bob gave him food, the talking started again. It was like a virus.
