Llamy the Alpaca and the Lotto Ticket

St Oliver Plunkett NS, Malahide, 1st – 3rd Class, 3rd October 2019

Llamy the Alpaca was a boxer who was very poor. He needed glasses but he couldn’t afford them.

Llamy had to become the most famous boxer in the world, so he really needed glasses.

He had to fight a flying pig, which was really hard for Llamy because it was his best friend, George.

A New Friend

Once upon a time there was a dragon called Jaws. Jaws the dragon really wanted a friend.

Jaws found another dragon in the cave nearby and he wanted to be friends.

“Can we be friends?” asked Jaws.

 

Shreka the Worm’s Magical Peanut

Once upon a time there was a worm called Shreka the Worm.

Shreka went on an adventure and there she met a walnut and a pineapple. Shreka the Worm became friends with the pineapple. 

But the pineapple and the walnut were together and Shreka the Worm was afraid of walnuts.

Mr Grumpy the angry ice-cream

Bray Literary Festival on Saturday 28th September 2019

Mr Grumpy lives in a house that was made out of sweets, beside the ice cream seller’s house in Brittas Bay. 

He makes lots of donuts every day because he thinks if he does this he will become part of the donut community.

He makes the donuts in a factory in Newcastle where he works with his best friend Mr Banana the donut. 

Gertrude and the Battle of Plastics

Gertrude the turtle and Pelly the pufferfish were in the Marianas Trench. 

They were doing their daily litter check when they heard a big fart noise in the ocean. 

The whole ocean shook. It turned out that it was an underwater volcano that started shooting out plastic straws, other plastic rubbish and cans.

Christopher is a young 14 year old skateboarder who has a dream of winning a skateboard contest, but he realises Big Bob the Bully is signing up as well!

The competition he is entering is called the X-games - one of the world's most prestigious and impossible contests. 

Christopher has one week to prepare for the X-games.

His best friend Chick Norris rang the door bell and said “Can I have tea with you, and here is your delivery.”

'Every picture tells a story'

There once was a unicorn who had a best friend named Picklebob. The unicorn's name was Fluffy. She was super silly. 

One day, she decided that she wanted to fart out rainbows. That morning when she went to unicorn school, Mr McDonkey the teacher was mad at her for being late. She was late because she had been trying to fart all the way to school. Mr McDonkey said angrily, “you're late again, Fluffy!”

What If?

Culture Night, County Cork, 22nd September 8-10 Years

It was the first day of my new school. I woke up and my mom said I had to go downstairs fast. 

When I went to school, I was at my locker and someone said “You must be new here. I’m Tonia”. Just then the bell rang and we had to go to class.

I didn’t know my mom had booked me in for swimming lessons, and I was walking along the edge of the swimming pool and I fell in!

Monty's Crazy Day

 Once upon a time there was a puppy named Monty that lived in America. 

He had a best friend which was a baby unicorn called Gabby. 

Monty the puppy was a German Shepard who was three years old.

Miss Sparkles lived on top of Mt Everest. It was shaded by woods that many of villagers were surprised were growing. 

She was bad....very, very bad. She had giant zipline going down to the bottom. Everyone in the village was afraid of her. 

They were afraid of her because she kidnapped children.

Ruddy the Rapping Rat was getting ready for his exciting trip to the British Royal Family with his best friend, Freddy McMuffin. 

But the one thing he didn't know was that the Royal Family were actually mice!

The Love Triangle

Once upon a time there lived Jessica, the Dolphin.  But she wasn't any ordinary dolphin, she was a rare dolphin, who was pink and had a heart of gold.  

At the age of one she got abandoned by her parents and a group of turtles raised her.  

She went to an Under The Sea party and met Timmy the DJ Turtle. He was very kind and they became friends quickly.

Once upon a time a chocolate chip was born and when he grew up he turned into a muffin. 

His name was Mr Muffin. He wanted a girlfriend but he thought he was too ugly to get one.

He really hoped he’d get one when he was an adult.

The mad spy under the sea

It was a cold and rainy night and Bob Barley, the octopus, heard something crashing outside his comfort zone. 

It was Marc, the Shark, who was whirling around his new gaff!

“What are you doing around my gaff again?” asked Bob.
