Alex’s Dream

Alex was at home eating his dinner. His mam asked, “Do you want to start playing football?”

He replied, “I would really, really, really, really like to play football, but I’m afraid that I would be bad at it.”

Alex’s mam said, “But your brother Shane is really good and he could teach you.”

Monty's Crazy Day

 Once upon a time there was a puppy named Monty that lived in America. 

He had a best friend which was a baby unicorn called Gabby. 

Monty the puppy was a German Shepard who was three years old. 

Adventures of Peadar the potato guy

Once upon a potato time there was a normal potato in a kitchen.  

He was on a plate about to be eaten when he fell off the plate and landed on the ground. 

Ronald McDonald who was the one who tried to eat him, shouted “Five Second Rule”, and bent down to pick him up.

Ashley with the Bad Luck

Hi, I’m Ashley and this is what happened to me in high school. October 13th was the first day it all went wrong. 

I was fifteen years old and a very nervous girl.

I didn't have any friends that year. I realised that there was something wrong.

The cranky old man

Once there was a cranky old man called Billy and whenever a football went into his garden he would pop it. He hated kids.

The kids threw rocks at his windows, pie at his face and nick-knocked his door and then ran away.

One day Billy was cooking his dinner: a piece of cheese was lying on the table and came alive. 

Jeremy’s little adventure

Once upon a time, a long time ago, there was a turtle called Jeremy. 

He wasn’t an average kind of turtle, he was a special kind of turtle. 

Not only could he talk, but he also liked to be a bit bold sometimes. 

An Unexpected Friend

Ava would never forget the sound of rain on the orphanage’s roof. She was lying in bed thinking about her life.

“My greatest fear is being alone and right now I’m terrified”, said Ava to herself. 

She sneaked through the hallway like a mouse without making a sound. 

Revenge on Tea Turtle

“Another great day, living in a tree,” said Tree Turtle to himself as he looked out over his balcony while eating wet toast.

Just then, Tree Turtle spotted Vulchie the vulture flying around, scanning the area for enemies.

Vulchie tumbled into the balcony and fell straight into Tree turtle’s wet toast.

Someone Stole My Bacon

Once upon a time, there was an alien pig called Tim. 

Tim lived on a planet called Pigvilla, but crash landed on Earth when his fried-egg shaped spaceship ran out of magical mud fuel.

Tim’s first thought after landing was, “I need to find fuel so I can continue on my quest.”

One morning in Cork, Sam got up. He brushed his teeth, got his breakfast, brushed his hair, and got dressed into his work clothes (a suit).

Sam got into his Audi and drove to Dublin. When he got out of his car, a stranger grabbed him and put a black bag over his head.

Lydia and the Snow Elves

Riverbank Arts Centre, Newbridge, 7 July 2017

Lydia was on her own in the Temple of Auriel. The temple was deserted. 

Lydia was waiting for her best friend Sammy the snow leopard to come back from the Elfswhere, in snow country.

As the snow fell from the sky onto Lydia’s hair, it didn’t make her cold. She was a snow elf.

Fern the Fox

Fern the fox was in her house. She was jumping around on the golden trampoline in her bedroom.

Fern’s best friend Broccoli Boy the wrestler was jumping around with her.

Fern had a talking, golden toilet. It was a gift from her mother for her 9th birthday.

 

Pop: The Talent of L.A.

One afternoon, Princess Bouncy and her best friend Mr. Fire were having a cup of coffee inside a café in Los Angeles. In the background, Uptown Funk by Bruno Mars was playing.

It was very hot out, so the two friends decided they would go for a swim after their coffee.

“Would you like to go on a date with me?” Mr. Fire asked the princess. He was feeling confident.

Diego and Ben

Once upon a time, there was a dog called Diego. He lived in Neverland, which was far, far away. 

He lived in a time when there were pixies and gnomes but he still didn’t have any friends. Diego was feeling lonely. 

One day, Diego saw a black cat lurking in the bushes.

The Magic Friends

Once upon a time, there was a wizard called Jim. He always wanted a workshop to make potions, and his biggest fear was dragons. 

Jim was in the playground. He was very lonely until he met Jake the wizard. Just then, Jake the wizard came into the playground. 

Jake said, “Hello, let’s go for a walk.”

Miss Sparkles lived on top of Mt Everest. It was shaded by woods that many of villagers were surprised were growing. 

She was bad....very, very bad. She had giant zipline going down to the bottom. Everyone in the village was afraid of her. 

They were afraid of her because she kidnapped children.

Once upon a time there was a little boy called Jake. He was from Dublin. 

His greatest wish was to travel around the world and find the scariest place ever! 

One day, Jake went into the deep forest with his best  friend Franklin the robot. 

Chuck, Noah and the Black Plague

Chuck-the warrior, lives in a tent outside a castle.  His greatest wish is love, freedom and peace. He uses a bow and arrow and he is Welsh.

He is afraid of the ghost of the black plague, slugs and creepy crawlies. 

Noah is outside in a meadow in the sun. There is a beautiful forest in the distance. It reminds Noah of Sherwood Forest. 

A Bug's Rights

In an old shoe in the woods, lives an ant with a dream. 

His name is Mr. Everest and his mission is to fight for ant’s rights.

Mr. Everest witnessed his girlfriend unfortunatly being squashed by a young child. 

A Lizard's Tale

Larry the Lizard was in Tesco looking for teabags and milk. He was feeling lonely. 

“If only I had a house and some friends,” he thought to himself.  

Meanwhile, in Oscar the middle-aged man’s apartment, Susan the cat knocked over a mouldy carton of milk. 

Penelope’s Surprise

Penelope the unicorn was making a sandwich. She thought about what she wanted for her birthday. 

she really wanted a rabbit called Sue.

But then, she saw someone who looked just like her in the window. At that moment, she screamed.

One day a magical fairy came to visit her. Uni told the magical fairy that she wanted to be a wolf.

“You can turn into a wolf on one condition,” said the fairy.

The Bathroom Life

Once there was a toilet called Professor Broken Toilet. Beside him lived his best friend, Smushy the sink.

They lived in a really big bathroom with green walls.

Professor Broken Toilet once had a dream to be human.
