The Adventures of Bob the Banana

Bob the Banana loved superheroes, but in his book of superheroes, which was called ‘Frankie’, the main superhero got eaten, and now Bob’s greatest fear is being eaten.

Bob loved reading about superhero history. His friend Psychopath, who was a hash brown, gave him the book. 

One day, Bob was in the fruit bowl reading his history book, when Psychopath whispered to him, “There’s a monster on the loose.” 

The Fairy Chase

Once upon a time there was a dog called Tutu the Killer Dog. Tutu is a killer cake-maker. But he also kills cats and fish to eat.

Banani the Banana was Spider Killer Cat’s best friend. 

They met in a haunted house earlier today at twelve o’ clock. 

The Day of the Life of a Bald Egg

One lovely morning, there was an egg called Mr Bald Egg. Mr Bald Egg stepped outside his house because he heard his neighbour calling him.

Mr Bald Egg’s neighbour was a possessed pig and he was calling Mr Bald Egg for breakfast.

The possessed pig’s name was Gerald.

Mitzey Faces Her Fear

It was Christmas Eve and Mitzey the kitten was asleep at home. She was dreaming about her wish to fly. 

She was dreaming too much. Mitzey dreamt that she actually was flying.

Mitzey’s best friend, Jeff the baby dragon woke her up by jumping on her.

Splish splash Gerry was starting to get bored of the ocean.

As the waves started to crash against the shore, Gerry started to think.

‘Is there more to this ocean life’? Gerry deeply stares at the sparkling sea shells.

 

Potato versus Aliens

Once a potato time on a scary night the employees opened the supermarket in space, the supermarket was called Mars Bar.

It was in a spider cave.

A group of Aliens ran in armed with potato peelers.

Scott the Half Wizard

One day there was a boy called Scott the half wizard.

He was camping on an island when he fell into some deep water, nearly drowning. It was a full moon.

Selena the powerful witch had turned him into a merman.

Small Dog, Big Dreams

Once there was a little pug called Chico. He was cuddly, sporty, playful, and a tiny bit lazy. He was the size of a pin. 

His dream was to be rich and get a Lamborghini. He had a best friend whose name was Paddy and he was an Irish dog that did Irish dancing. 

But there was one things that always got in his way: KITTENS! 

Chico always talked to Paddy about his dream. “I wish I had a Lamborghini. 

Jimmy's Great Space Adventure

There once was a turtle and he had no friends. His name was Jimmy the Talking Turtle. 

One day he went to McDonalds and he got some chicken nuggets. 

He particularly picked out one chicken nugget from the box. That chicken nugget randomly started talking!

Flipper's Adventure

Once upon a time there was a penguin named Flipper. He lived in the South Pole. 

He really wanted to be able to swim properly. Flipper was a very lonely penguin. 

He wanted a friend more than anything. Then one day, he met Fin the Dolphin. 

Gary and the Missing Human

One day in the imaginary land there was a guy called Gary and his best friend was Pugba. 

Gary was a person who was very skinny and he was bald and he had the letter B on his head. 

He follows Liverpool  in the real world and Pugba follows Manchester United.  

The Legend of Jim the Cheetah

North Monastery School, 5th class, County Cork 12 March 2018 

Jim the cheetah was born in 1902. When he was 5 years old he was bullied in school and he met Daly the lion. 

At the school made of bamboo they learned how to be faster than other animals, they learned how to survive in the wild and they learned how to hunt. 

Jim wasn't very good at those things, so everyday Daly helped him get better.

The Holy Spaghett Bowl

Wan Chong Chang didn't know what to do. Jim the Talking Sandwich was staring at him. 

The Talking Toilet had warned Chang that Jim was dangerous.

Sparkles was a unicorn. He was in a lovely forest, called the Meatball Forest, with Diamond, the baby rabbit. 

Sparkles was watching Diamond's dreams. 

Sparkles couldn't do magic and he wanted to be a Dream Watcher.

Timmy's Revenge

Felix Found a Friend

In 1666, there was a boy called Felix and he hated school and all the homework they gave. But most of all he hated his parents! 

More than ever he really wanted a friend. So he decided to make a plan to break out of boarding school.

So he said to himself maybe he'll walk around to calm himself down so that after he had calmed down he would be able to think of a plan.

Mr Squawk the Chicken Becomes King

Mr Squawk was in his hen house. He wandered out and into the kitchen where he met Jake the Toaster.

He walked by the toaster and said, “Hey dude, can you make me some toast?”

“Dah! What do I look like, a toilet or something?” Jake replied.

Once upon a time there was a flying cow called Timmy. 

Timmy was flying above the trees when he spotted someone who needs help. He flew down. 

Timmy saw a fox about to eat a rabbit. Timmy flicked the fox away with his horns. 

Sparkly Revenge

Jeff Senile, the spy, sent her a Snapchat on his spychat phone telling her: “Stay put.”  

He knew something was going to happen. 

Jefferson Saves The World

Boston National School, Boston, Co. Clare, 4th Class, 28 April 2017

Jefferson is in school alone and he’s day-dreaming. He’s supposed to be cleaning out a cupboard because he was late for school. He comes across a book in the cupboard.

It’s a big heavy book. When he picks it up, he sees it’s a very old book, so he’s curious to know what it’s about. But there’s nothing in it, so he asks his teacher can he take it home. 

When he gets home, he opens the book. The book tells him: “Go to page 196”.

Revenge

Happy the Clown lived in America with The Twinz in a rickety old house.  

Every day, Happy and The Twinz ate slugs and snails for breakfast and broccoli for lunch.

Happy was afraid to work in the circus because of the children. 

Waffle Kaboom!

Bob-the-Waffle-Genie lived in a waffle, sitting around playing video games, waiting for someone to say the magic word and call on him.  

(‘Time for Breakfast’ is the magic word.)

Pussums the cat jumped in the window after he smelled lovely fresh waffles.

Gerry and Daryl’s Great Escape

Gerry lives in a flat in Manchester and he is scared of going down the stairs.

He is an inventor, so he has made little sticky paws for Daryl the Super Rat. 

This was so Daryl can go to the shop to get Gerry food and supplies.

After he dropped them at the school gates, he went back to the bus depot. 

He then jumped into his BMW, drove home and got Johnny his springer spaniel.

Jimbo Saves the Day

Squishy the marshmallow monster was sitting on a fudge log.  She was lost in the middle of the candy forest when suddenly she spotted a long chocolate river. 

The river reminded her of happier days and memories of swimming on Chocolannagh Lake near her home. 

A Girl, A Book and a Chicken

As the sun rose, Alison filled a red bucket with grain and skipped into the yard. She threw a handful of grain to the chickens. 

 As the chickens looked up, she noticed a new one with fluffy feathers and black specks covering its neck.

She chased the unusual- looking chicken out of the yard.

A Dog With a Secret

Billy the stray dog is crawling along the pavement on a cold, rainy day. 

The streets are very busy and there is lots of cars and noise and lots of people are walking into him. 

Billy has lovely black and brown fur but it is very muddy and dried up.

Snookie's Magical Adventure

Snookie the Chihuahua is sitting on Santa’s large red bag, biting his black boot laces in the sleigh at The North Pole.  

It’s just 27 days until Christmas Eve, and the reindeer are all training hard for the big day in hopes they will be picked for the final squad.

Rudolph was lifting weights, and suddenly a 100 kg weight dropped on his toe. 

The First Bunny in Space

Mr. Fluffybottom was in the playground playing soccer with Inflatable Frog.  Bruce and Brunch, the bullies, suddenly appeared from nowhere and kicked the ball away and started shouting.  

“Hey, Fluffybottom, you’re no good at football!” shouted Bruce.  

“Why are you in goal when you can’t even catch a cold?” said Brunch.

One day Mr. Banana Man woke up with Paul the Rock sitting on his mushy face.  Paul the Rock was shaving his legs!

Suddenly, Mr. Banana Man’s mum broke the door open and screamed, “IT’S TIME TO GET UP FOR FRUIT SCHOOL!”

Mr. Banana Man got a fright, and ripened, as he said to Paul, “Scoochamooch!”

 

Killer Glitter

One day there was a square named Larry and he was playing a game with his best friend, Billy the Circle.

Billy asked Larry, “Why are you so afraid of glitter?”

Larry looked shocked. “I was in a dark place and I saw a glowing thing covered in glitter. 

Doughnut Attack!

St. Kevin’s NS, Greystones, 4th class, County Wicklow, 11 June 2019

It was a cold Saturday morning and there were doughnuts for breakfast, but Stacey didn’t want any. 

When she was in a doughnut shop in Notre Dame two months ago, her parents had been parentnapped by a giant doughnut with a moustache and a top hat. 

He had been disguised as a statue so he could strike at any moment.

Wake Up and Smell the Bacon

Deep in the forest, Neville the flying green pig who wears a snorkel is eating tree bark, when suddenly the entire forest explodes!!!

He knows his best friend Elvis is there, because he can smell bacon.

Neville takes a piece of crispy bacon off himself and eats it so that he doesn’t eat his best friend.

Ice-Cream Meltdown

One day Johnny the Ice-Cream was in a magical ice-cream shop. 

His best friend Jeffy the Ketchup Guy was frozen in the ice-cream freezer. 

Johnny was there to get a new sprinkle cut.

Lucky Ducky

Once upon a time there was an Irish duck called Luck.  He lived outside a sock factory in Rathdrum.

He hadn’t yet hatched, so he couldn’t see much, but he had the finest looks!  He knew this because his egg was full of mirrors.

As he started pecking out of his shell, he saw a rainbow and a strange bearded dog barking at ducks who were waving an English flag.  

The man with no limits

In an alley, where nobody goes, there lived a homeless man called Jeff.

One day, a bin truck got stuck in the alley and no one could move it.  So Jeff decided to live in it.

He liked living there because he could eat scraps.

The Magic Bread

One day Donko the Duck woke up from a lovely dream about lovely delicious Brodon’s fresh bread. 

All the other ducks in the pond teased him. His best friend, Random Raccoon, would randomly jump on people and on ducks. 

This embarrassed Donko. Random Raccoon had a disease which he kept secret.

Peter is in a Pickle

St. Laurence’s NS, Greystones​, 4th class, County Wicklow, 23rd May 2019

Once upon a jar, Pickle Peter was standing on another pickle trying to get out of the dreaded jar.

Steve the Olive, his best friend, was too weak to open the jar so Peter started using his shoulder to knock the jar over and break both his and Steve’s jar.

The person in the house was getting dinner ready so had Steve and Peter’s jars out on the counter.
