The French Bean & The Dragon

Once upon a time there was a dragon called Danny who lived in the village of SquiddyMac.

There was a villain in the village called Finny who didn’t like dragons with fins.

Danny’s best friend Mr Fassio the French bean, was out on a walk with him.

Billy and Dave

​Kilmessan National School, Kilmessan, Co. Meath, 5th Class, 18 June 2018

On a normal day, Dave the block of cheese was in the fridge. On this day, however, the human had left the fridge door open.

This had never happened before. This was to be the first time Dave could live his dreams. Dave was going to escape from the fridge.

Dave jumped out of the fridge. He looked back to see his best friend, Billy the Low-Fat Milk, firing peas out of the door. 

The Orphan Samurai

St Patrick’s National School,, Castleknock, 5th Class, 14 June 2018

In 1992, Samuel the Samurai was found on the streets of Tokyo and brought to an orphanage. He was only two months old.

While he was being brought to the orphanage, the lady carrying him picked up a chicken bucket with “Bing Bong” written on it. 

They were raised like brothers and trained together all their lives.

The Great Escape

Geoff the Giraffe is trudging through the lush tropical jungle.

He is feeling blue because he is trapped in North Korea.

Suddenly, Geoff catches a glimpse of a petite and peculiar blue creature waving at him from a little plane in the sky.

The Magical Lamp

One day in a village, a lamp was delivered from Amazon into a house.

The lamp was put next to a window, where she could see amazing sights, like tall buildings and a pizza shop.

The lamp’s name was Mrs Lamp and her dream was to work in this pizza shop.

Podgy’s Big Adventure

Once upon a time, in a magical forest, there lived a squirrel called Podgy.

He called his friend Squiggle the worm one morning to talk about his greatest wish.

“Hello!” said Podgy. “I just wanted to tell you about my greatest wish because it’s my birthday soon.

The Sunday Roast

One morning, Benny the chicken was walking along the windowsill of the farmhouse when he saw the news was on the television inside.

The news report said that some randomer had got stuck in a barbeque in New York.

Benny decided to fly down the chimney to get a better look at the news.

The Two Best Friends

 One lonely Monday morning, Shep and Chuck were swimming in a river under a bridge. 

Suddenly something grabbed Chuck’s foot, just as he was getting out of the river. 

It turned out it was Shep the dog biting his foot.

Paws and Pepperoni

 Once there was a fox named Doctor Fox, who invented medicine for sick animals. 

He lived in a hospital. Doctor Fox had his own bedroom with lots of medicines.

One day, his friend, Pizza Dude got sick, so Doctor Fox went to see him. 

The Adventure with Button

Once upon a time under the sea, there was a frog who had feathers on his bum.

His name was Sunflower.

When Sunflower came to the syrface one Tuesday, he saw a talking, walking rock wearing a top-hat.

The Mad Situation

Once upon a time, Jimmy the Hamburger and Jeff the Turtle went to a job interview in McDonald’s.

When they got there, the boss, Red the Chicken Nugget asked them their names.

“I’m Jimmy,” said Jimmy.

The Last Surviving Hot Dog

Daniel the hot dog was in a hot dog stand in Cronova City on Pluto.

The stand was like a prison - an Alcatraz for hot dogs.

Daniel was feeling angry and he wanted to break out of the hot dog stand prison before he was eaten.

Jimmy's Adventure in Search of the A+

St Michael's National School, Ballyduff Upper, 5th Class, County Cork

Jimmy was on his way home from after-school study with Freddie, when he was ambushed by bullies. 

His best friend Freddie fell, so he had to run back to get a plaster for him, but it wouldn't really stick, because he couldn't find a solid part of his body – he had no bones. 

Jimmy started talking to Freddie and the bullies were wondering who he was talking to. 

The Two Friendly Cats

“How dee my man”, said Bob the cat to mini Bob.
