Nigel's Nonsense

Cloghroe N.S. County Cork, 6th Class 18 January 2019

Nigel is a 70-year-old man and he has been in hospital after he got knocked out in a boxing match by his 'friend' Isaac.

Nigel woke up to his cow, Bessie, licking his face. He gets a fright because Bessie is there and he's afraid of cows now.

When he got up, he found a load of cows in his kitchen rooting through his cupboards and they ate all the food so he had to go to the shop, but the shop closed down while he was in a coma. 

Toby

St David’s Boys National School, Artane​, 5th Class, 17 January 2019

Once upon a time in a wondrous land of Krispy Cremes, it all started with Toby the Big Bear in a cave.

Toby was eating his daily dose of honey when he decided he was tired and went to sleep in his “bed” (it was made out of stone).

Toby’s 96-year-old granny, who used a wheelchair, lived with him.

The Unicorn Travels

Uni the Unicorn wanted to become a warrior because she wanted to fight people.

They were her greatest fear.

Uni had a best friend called Moon, who is a dragon. She wanted people to like her.

Bob and his Lost Love

Once upon a time there was a chicken nugget called Bob. He lived in a big, deep fat fryer.

Sometimes Bob looked out the window and daydreamed that he would get a girlfriend. 

Fizzy the Coca-Cola was Bob’s best friend but he wanted something more.

The Rescue of Tickles

Once upon a time there was a sweet shop that had a doughnut called Tickles.

Tickles’ best friend was called Ginny the Marshmallow. Ginny lived across the shop from Tickles.

One day, Tickles was bought out of the shop and Ginny had to save him. Tickles was put in a box and carried out of the shop!

The War of the Water-balloons

Tiffany Thomas is a window cleaner and she's been working for two years and by her side are her two friends the Warthog called Roy and the Patricia the Parrot. 

She hated her job and wanted to help endangered penguins.

One day she was cleaning the Mayor's house and Patricia flew away. 

Jamie in the Jungle

St Patrick’s Boys National School, Drumcondra, Dublin 9, 4th Class, 9th January 2019

Jamie the explorer jumped over the river. The river had toxic water and potatoes floating in it. 

Jamie was looking for his family. Jamie’s family had crash-landed on the island and he was looking for them.

Jamie’s best friend, Quentin the dog, found the scent of his family. 

Wish Wars

One day, Banana Bob had cake for breakfast. The cake was radioactive and gave him powers. 

He looked over and saw his best friend, Slappy the t-rex, jumping outside of the window.

Banana Bob decided to go see what Slappy was doing.

Spray Tan Warfare

St Fiachra’s Senior National School, Beaumont, 6th Class, 7th January 2019

On an ordinary day Mrs Carrot was putting on spray tan, when she spotted a flyer for the competition.

To win the competition all you had do was be the most tanned. 

The prize was a lifetime supply of spray tan.

Wrong is not Right

Our Lady of the Wayside, Kilternan, County Wiclow, 31 January 2017 

It was a glum and wet day in the centre of China, and a bully had just chased Da-kumi. 

Since it was so dark, Da-kumi asked his friend, Jimothy the Rat who had radioactive powers, to glow.

Jimothy had low batteries, though, so couldn’t glow.

Fozzy and Gizmo Down Under

Once upon a time, when the world was ruled by man-eating dinosaurs, Fozzy and Gizmo went to Pizza Hut. 

Soon the city is going to be taken over by crocodiles.

It started raining headless chickens. 

Kevin and Barbara's Quest

Kevin the uni-chicken went to KFC and met his friend Barbara the spying fly. 

“Why are we here?” Kevin asked Barbara.

Barbara said, “Because your old friend Porky from the farmyard died here. We’re here for his funeral.”

You are Bacon!!

There once was a pig called Gizmo, whose greatest wish was some pink underwear. 

He was on his way to the shop when he passed the butcher’s. 

Bob the Butcher came out with a knife.

Tony’s adventures

Once upon a time there was a flying cub lion with angel wings. He was called Tony.  

Tony had a best friend who was Joe, the flying piece of bacon.

One day, Tony went to Tesco’s to buy some bacon to feed to Joe.  

The Moustache Shaver

Once upon a time there was a man called Mr. Wiggle Moustache who lived in a cottage in the woods. 

He lived with his best friend Jeff the cool footballer.

He lived in a forest on top of a rainbow where there were pink fluffy unicorns dancing on it. 

Clyde’s Big Escape

Jonathan Swift NS, Dunlavin, County Wicklow, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th, 24 November 2016

Clyde the Kitten is in the street feeling lonely and wishing for a family. 

He sees someone eating a hot-dog so jumps up to get the hot-dog off him. 

The hot-dog turns out to be magical and it teleports Clyde to the Candy Kingdom.

Azure Jenkins and the Lost Stone

St Andrew’s NS, County Wicklow, 5th Class, 23rd November 2016

In a little cottage, in a really deep forest in Co. Wicklow, Alisia Crotchet came over and then she blew up the cottage. 

She blew up the house and then Paddy the Troll, from a different part of the forest, saw the smoke rising; he went over to see what had gone wrong. 

When he went over he saw a dead body lying on the floor. 

Half way there

As Dave left the room he realised he had to go to the shop because he had run out of peanuts. 

When he was in the shop he saw a magazine with the moon on it and thought it was pretty. 

He realised he forgot his wallet and he had to go back home.
