Zest Quest

St. Andrew’s, Booterstown​, 6th class, 12th December 2019

A long time ago the society of lemons created lemon squisher on a tropical island. All who entered the lemon squisher would enter lemon land.

It was Zesti the lemons greatest ambition to become the chosen lemon. 

But it would be a long road and Zesti would face many tough times on the seas of lemonade. 

A Trip to Hawaii

Once upon a time there was a black and white cat called Vincent.

Vincent’s best friend Pigsly the Pig got him tickets to Hawaii. He missed the plane.

Just then, all the lights went off except for one. Vincent was so scared that he called a private jet. 

The Betrayal

Inchicore National School, Dublin 8, 6th Class, 11 December 2019

It was a small town and in the town there was a bench. 

This is a true story! Loads of people have gone missing, including Vector the Vagabond.

Vector was captured by an old lady named Jennie who also took everybody else, including Timmy the Toe’s uncle, Jimmy the Barber. 

Scar the Super-hero Cat

Once upon a time there was a cat called Scar, the Superhero cat. 

His greatest wish was to have fish to eat.  His best friend was Tom, the talking cucumber.

One day, Scar saw a monster.  Prince Ben saved Scar from the evil monster.  

The Saviour of the Ice-wolf

St. Fergal’s NS, 2nd class, County Wicklow, 10th December 2019

There was a wolf that lived on the top of Mount Everest, called Frostbite.

One day when he was half way through his dinner he slipped and fell down into the deep snow. 

Frostbite slid down the side of the mountain. He got a cut on his eye and he was mutated into a giant wolf with ice spikes on his back. 

The Extraordinary Adventures of Oliver the Olive

St. Nicholas’ Parochial School, 5th & 6th Class, County Galway

In an olive farm in France Oliver the Olive meets Gary the Grape. Ricardo the bodybuilder finds them in the kitchen and is about to eat them. 

Just as he’s about to pop them in his mouth Ricardo remembers he’s late for a flight to Galway. 

He drops Oliver the Olive and Gary the Grape and races off to catch his flight from France to Galway where he’s going to do some break-dancing.

Steve & Bob's Adventure

Once upon a time Steve the Secret Banana and Bob the Pineapple were walking to the pet shop and they met Rosie the Duck.

Rosie told them about how dangerous humans were with their Smoothie Makers. They ran away from the Smoothie Makers and looked for a guard dog to protect them. 

They found one called Tankie.

Searching for The Crystal

This story is about Taco El Matcho the cutie monster. He was an awesome guy who liked random stuff. 

His teacher was always giving out to him because he was usually late to school. 

Taco carried taco guns which he shot tacos out of to feed everyone.

The Dream

Once upon a time, there was a girl named Sparkle Girl. 

She had a huge fear of demon ducks and her best friend was Flower Girl. 

One day she met a demon duck but it was fluffy and cute. 

Panda Saves Chon

Once upon a time there was a boy named Chon, and he wanted to find a pet panda. 

He got bitten by a radioactive snake in the rainforest and he screamed ‘Ouch’ and said ‘I got bit by a radioactive snake, help me’. 

A panda comes down from a tree and helps him. 

The Great Bakery Escape

St Patrick’s BNS, Drumcondra, 4th Class, 9th December 2019

Once upon a time there was a cheesecake called Captain Gary Cheesecake.

Gary was screaming in the fridge because it was really cold. His friend, Brownie the Brownie, was in the oven in St John’s Bakery.

Brownie was due to be out of the oven in fifteen minutes but Gary had only just been made. 

No Milk

Octardo was a half-human, half-octopus who was really lonely.

One day he went to Supervalu where he met a lovely man called Bateson.

“Hello young man, today I woke up and sneezed three times,” moaned Octardo.

Santa and the Elf

Once upon a time, Ben the elf was in his room at the North Pole Hotel for Elves. 

Ben’s job was to go to peoples’ houses and check if they had been good.

It was the day of the big meeting. Santa was going to choose which elves were going with him on Christmas Eve. 

Squiggle-Pops and Yohan

One Friday, Squiggle Pops was in McDonalds.  He was getting a McFlurry, a big Mac meal with a latte and chicken nuggets. 

When he got his meal he first went for the nuggets and then he found one burnt one.  

So he kept it and called it Yohan because he liked it.

Crystal and the Fire

Once upon a time there was a Superhero called Crystal, she was the best Superhero ever. 

But one day she realised that the city, called Unicorn World had caught fire. 

Her best friend was Fury the Ice Wolf.

Five Days Before Christmas

Once upon a time there was a reindeer called Johnny the Long-Nosed Reindeer.

Johnny always wished to be friends with Larry the Crazy Christmas Tree. 

The problem was that every time Johnny wanted to ask Larry to be his friend, he was afraid that Larry would say no.

When I was born my mother and father, who are both banana trees, called me Barry.

One day I saw a kiwi riding on a mole and carrying a genie lamp.

Captain Cactus

Once upon a time there was chubby plant.  His name was Captain Cactus and he had a big wish to one day own a cactus mobile.  

His greatest and most massive fear was germs.  Microbes.

His best friend said to him when they were in the underground building.

Food Friends

Once upon a time a chocolate chip was born and when he grew up he turned into a muffin. 

His name was Mr Muffin. He wanted a girlfriend but he thought he was too ugly to get one.

He really hoped he’d get one when he was an adult.

The mad spy under the sea

It was a cold and rainy night and Bob Barley, the octopus, heard something crashing outside his comfort zone. 

It was Marc, the Shark, who was whirling around his new gaff!

“What are you doing around my gaff again?” asked Bob.

The Adventures of the fat fly

Donard NS, 3rd class, County Wicklow 13th March 2019

Mr Tom, the fly, was driving his Lamborghini on the N81. Suddenly, it dawned on him that he wanted to become fat.

He looked around, and he saw that everyone around him was fat. He said “I don’t want to be skinny anymore.”

At first he went to McDonalds, and he ordered a Grand Big Mac and Big Mac Bacon.  

 

Mr. Moody and the hypnotised lion

Once upon a time, there lived an old man called Mr. Moody, with his side kick, Rio, the lion.

They lived far, far away from the town, in Slovenia.  His super power was to hypnotise people, since he was a baby.

One day he was so angry he hypnotised his side kick Rio by making him do all the work around the house.

Louie and the Popcorn Shoes

​Once there was a lion named Louie. Louie was afraid of popcorn. 

He was afraid that Popcorn would go up his nose and give him a heart attack.

One day he was outside when he saw a pair of shoes on the ground. 

Bob A and Barta's School Trip

One day in school Bob A was going on a tour with his class to a haunted house. 

The bus driver was really, really mean. Bob A wanted to get rid of the bus driver and needed help to do it.

He teamed up with Barta, his best friend, to annoy the bus driver. 

Blueblop and George

There once was a mutant called Blueblop. Blueblop was mad because he wanted to be a person. 

One day he saw a stray dog and he brought it to his house. He became best friends with George.

When Blueblop woke up the next morning, he saw that George was kidnapped! 

The Dragons Save The World

Once upon a time there was a cat named Lightfury. They had the body and wings of a dragon but tail of a lizard. 

They lived in Knockandburn Castle inside a volcano. His greatest fear was Flynn the magic evil dragon.

One Thursday when Lightfury got up, they went out of the volcano onto the grass. 

Al and Cheesy's Army

Once there was a flying taco and his name was Al. His best friend was Cheesy the Spotty Cheese. 

They met one day in a shop when Cheesy accidentally stuck cheese on Al.

“We have fused,” Al said. They high-fived and wished for a new power.

Tiger the Tiger

Tiger the Tiger was trying to collect as many things as he could. 

Tiger met his best friend, Tadhg the Lion, in his secret place. 

“Let’s go look for food in the desert,” says Tadhg. 

Robo and Max's Adventure

Once upon a time in Popoville, there was a dog called Max with an owner who always talked and chit-chatted.

One day when Max was barking, “stop talking,” at his owner, something strange happened. His owner stopped blabbing.

Then, after sixty seconds of silence while his owner Bob gave him food, the talking started again. It was like a virus.

Sally's Crash on Mars

Sacred Heart National School, 2nd Class, County Wicklow, 6th February 2019

Once upon a time Sally the Astronaut was flying in her rocket ship. When she was flying, she crashed into Mars.

She searched for the parts of her rocket, when she fell into some alien poo.

Sally wished that her best friend was there with her, when suddenly Emma the mermaid appeared!
