The Rescue Rabbit

“5,4,3,2,1...Liftoff! This is NASA space shuttle do you copy?” Asked Jellybean.

“This is Henry Hop, reporting from Apollo 3, we are breaking through the atmosphere now” reported Henry Hop.

“Up up and away” roared Jellybean. 

Mr McCaw and Polly the Plastic Bottle

Gaelscoil Bhaile Munna, 5th class, 22nd March 2021

One day Mr McCaw the Bird was flying through the sky when suddenly Polly the Plastic Bottle hit him in the face. Mr McCaw panicked and his wings scraped off a lamp post and stopped working. 

He fell into the drain and found a rusty jet pack and his greatest wish was to update it.

Polly went into the drain to help Mr McCaw up.

Rane Saves The Day

Rain and Her Dream

Rain the rainbow dragon woke up to loads of thunder and rain. She hit her head on the top of the roof. She felt a lot of pain and she was furious!

The pain melted away when she saw the rain outside.

With joy, she ran out and saw a rainbow.

Nancy the frog lived in the jungle in a pond with her best friend Hallie the hippo. 

Nancy was bored. She was dreaming about her dream to become a chef.  She then realised she was hungry - she was bored with everything frogs have to eat.  

Nancy wanted to become a chef to make her own food. She said to Hallie, “Do you think I should become a chef?” 

The Great and Unexpected Birthday

Upon a great, big hill there was a house. A girl called Maxine lived there.

It has always been her childhood dream to have a horse. She could not convince her parents to let her have a horse. 

After years of convincing them it was her 15th birthday that she thought she’d get a horse.

Woolly and the Brownie Ice Cream

One day there was a mammoth named Woolly taking a short drink at the river. She was thinking about how to get some brownie ice-cream.

Suddenly, it turned nighttime and she was afraid. She was with her best friend, Flipper the Penguin.

“We’ll wait for tomorrow and then we’ll go buy some brownie ice cream,” said Flipper. Flipper was scared to get ice cream because it was near the humans.

The Adventures of Fred and Eddie

Eddie was playing football with his friend, Fred. Next they play hide and seek.

Then they see Spider-Monster the Bad Guy. Spider-Monster shoots a web and captures Eddie and Fred. 

Eddie has a pocket knife inside his pocket and he helps them escape. “Did you not see the other people in Spider-Monster’s lair?” asks Fred.

Leafy’s Adventure

One day, there was a leaf looking for a friend. She found a friend that was a mustache.

A boy came along that hated leaves and started ripping up all the leaves in the area. She tried to escape but then she saw a caterpillar.

The leaf was scared of the caterpillar but the caterpillar was very nice.

Then he met a giant parrot. He nearly got a heartattack and started running away really really fast.

Then, Millie the Snake saw that he was in trouble and tried to save him. She came in from a tree, grabbed a stick, and held the parrot’s mouth open.

The Life of Fruit

“Oh no, how are we going to give her toffees if we have eaten them?” the children whispered as they hid under the kitchen table.

Bob’s Adventure

Bob the Gorilla was climbing a tree to get coconuts. He fell off the tree and landed on his back. NEEEEOOOOW! 

He fell and met Shelf the Monkey. 

“Give me five coconuts and I’ll play a song,” said Shelf. 

Mitchell and his Moles

Mitchell Leafer is on his way to a movie premiere in a limo. He had just come home from school. He played the superhero in the movie because he can talk to moles. 

Mitchell Leafer has dark hair and freckles. Mr Leafer was with his best friend, Motley the Mole who was wearing his favourite bow tie.

In the movie, his greatest fear was shown and his moles turned against him. He shuddered at the thought. 

Lucy and the fox

Once upon a time, a bunny named Lucy was in the woods.  She was out collecting carrots from the woods. Then she found another bunny named Zoe.

There is a big fox in the woods, Zoe said to Lucy.  Lucy grabbed all of her carrots and started running with her friend. 

The fox is very hungry.  The fox was hunting for animals.  The fox saw Lucy and Zoe and started chasing them.

Slimey the Super Slime vs Dr. Robot Purple Pants

Slimey the Super Slime was in his house eating rabbit food for his breakfast. Slimey was in his hottub of slime when a hotdog jumped out.

The hotdog was Irish dancing and wearing his Irish dancing kilt. The hotdog fell over and fell into the hottub. 

The hotdog started talking in a Scottish/Australian accent and said, “G’day mate.”

The Sheep’s Quest

This story starts with a sheep. A very lonely sheep. On Friday 19th September, he stumbled across a dancing sheep. 

“Let’s be friends,” said Jackaleen the Dancing Sheep.

One late evening, there was a big crash outside of the house. Kelly ran outside and saw that her parents were covered in blood.

Dead. She dropped to her knees in tears and pulled her phone out of her pocket and rang the ambulance. Just then her dog Bonny came running out and licked her face.

She obviously didn’t know what was going on.  A woman with a sweet voice answered and Kelly had nothing to say .

Running Rogue

Lucas shoved all of his clothes into a bag and got ready to run away. He packed a few supplies.

He was leaving tonight. He stealthily walked into his bedroom and carefully jumped out of the window.

He threw his bag out the window and his best friend, Orla, caught it. It was lashing rain, but he didn’t care -

Happy the cavachon dog got kicked out of his hometown! In the dark he was scared of all the talking trees. After that he sees his best friend Ben the blue dog. 

Then a massive talking tree jumps on top of Ben the blue dog and throws him back into dogtopia.

The talking tree grabs Happy and brings him to the hometown of Talking Trees.

The Buttery Toast Invasion

One beautiful summer morning, out of nowhere huge buttery monsters attacked Farmer Jim Bob Joe's house.

When the clock struck twelve, his best friend Squishy Watermelon Max got captured by the buttery toast. 

The buttery toast locked him up in a cell. Then Farmer Jim Bob Joe found a flying donkey and tried to capture it.

Then he patted the pigeon. The pigeon seemed to be interested in something far away.

Nigel's Nonsense

Nigel is a 70-year-old man and he has been in hospital after he got knocked out in a boxing match by his 'friend' Isaac.

Nigel woke up to his cow, Bessie, licking his face. He gets a fright because Bessie is there and he's afraid of cows now.

When he got up, he found a load of cows in his kitchen rooting through his cupboards and they ate all the food so he had to go to the shop, but the shop closed down while he was in a coma. 

The War of the Water-balloons

Tiffany Thomas is a window cleaner and she's been working for two years and by her side are her two friends the Warthog called Roy and the Patricia the Parrot. 

She hated her job and wanted to help endangered penguins.

One day she was cleaning the Mayor's house and Patricia flew away.

A chicken slides into view and in a gangster voice says, "Hey it's JBM, also known as Jimmy Buctas McNulty." 

A flying squirrel slides into view and says, "Ni!' There were a load of cows and pigs around so it was hard to slide into view without crashing into one. 

Jimmy says, "That's my secretary/best friend, Donna Buctas McNulty, who is also my cousin, my sista from another mista!"

One day Jack's Mom came into his room and found pictures of Chloe under his bed. When Jack came home he was grounded. 

Jack cried and he had to eat warm ice-cream with live worms inside the ice-cream.

While Jack was eating the ice-cream, his Mom ripped up the pictures and worse it was in front of him.

 

Nathan's Negative Nightmare: the beginning of a new evolution

One stormy night. Cold was the night.  In a small little village, in a small little street in a small little orphanage, in a small little kid there was a big imagination and a big dream.

Suddenly there was a big earthquake.  He was having a dream.  The earthquake was happening outside of his body and it sent him into his nightmare.

The first thing that came to his sight was a cat.  A talking cat.  An evil cat.

This story is set in Canada. A pen was being shipped from India to Canada. 

Jim Boston went to a library in Canada and finds a book that tells him what the magic pen can do. 

Then he turned to the next page and found a pen. He also finds a map that helps him find the magic pen. 

Cocoa & Hugs

Once upon a time there was a Panda-bear called Hugs. 

Her best friend was a Yorkie called Cocoa. She lived in a big back garden with her owner.

They were on holidays and she got lost in the woods.

Jimmy's Adventure in Search of the A+

Jimmy was on his way home from after-school study with Freddie, when he was ambushed by bullies. 

His best friend Freddie fell, so he had to run back to get a plaster for him, but it wouldn't really stick, because he couldn't find a solid part of his body – he had no bones. 

Jimmy started talking to Freddie and the bullies were wondering who he was talking to. 

Trees

I woke up and couldn't remember anything since I landed here, facing the moon. 

The first thing I could smell was a strong smell of smoke and the first thing I could see was what I thought was fog.

It was a Friday evening when Christopher the Cheese first came to the big fridge, he was bought from the shop by the evil Mr. Loaf.

Mr. Loaf was very indecisive about what cheese to buy. 

Christopher the Cheese was quite distressed on the way home as he was being squished by Mairead the Milk and the sausages in the bag. 

Small Dog, Big Dreams

Once there was a little pug called Chico. He was cuddly, sporty, playful, and a tiny bit lazy. He was the size of a pin. 

His dream was to be rich and get a Lamborghini. He had a best friend whose name was Paddy and he was an Irish dog that did Irish dancing. 

But there was one things that always got in his way: KITTENS! 

Chico always talked to Paddy about his dream. “I wish I had a Lamborghini.

The Legend of Jim the Cheetah

Jim the cheetah was born in 1902. When he was 5 years old he was bullied in school and he met Daly the lion. 

At the school made of bamboo they learned how to be faster than other animals, they learned how to survive in the wild and they learned how to hunt. 

Jim wasn't very good at those things, so everyday Daly helped him get better.

Jefferson is in school alone and he’s day-dreaming. He’s supposed to be cleaning out a cupboard because he was late for school. He comes across a book in the cupboard.

It’s a big heavy book. When he picks it up, he sees it’s a very old book, so he’s curious to know what it’s about. But there’s nothing in it, so he asks his teacher can he take it home. 

When he gets home, he opens the book. The book tells him: “Go to page 196”.

“Why are you in goal when you can’t even catch a cold?” said Brunch.

When he got his meal he first went for the nuggets and then he found one burnt one.  

So he kept it and called it Yohan because he liked it.

Facing Your Fears

One day Lisa and Daisy were at the beach chilling out. Lisa was Daisy’s best friend. Lisa was super sporty - she had come first in every race on Sports Day, she was captain of the school football team and was always chosen first for everything…but her favourite sport was swimming.

Daisy was Lisa’s best friend. She had a passion for art – especially drawing and designing clothes.

Simon The Cyborg

Simon was a little boy aged twelve. He absolutely loved space. When he was in bed, Simon would dream of going to space in an enormous rocket. His favourite movie was any type of sci-fi movie, he had Space Invaders birthdays, space-related Christmas presents. In short, everything had a bit of space-related things in it.

Our story begins when Simon got a scholarship to be the first ever kid in space. Simon was over the moon, the day he said his goodbyes to his family and friends and set out on his journey to NASA.

Lost In War

One day there was a nine year old boy called Phil who lived in a small cottage on St. Catherine’s Road. World War Three was going to happen that day.

Phil was going to town with his mother. When they got there, it was very busy - everyone was getting their last bits and bobs. A few minutes later, a loud deafening noise was heard from all around town. Everyone rushed to their houses.

The Easter Egg Hunt

I was hunting for Easter Eggs when suddenly I stumbled across the most amazing, gleaming, magical eggs. 

They were spotty and stripy, they were lying in the long green grass, and I looked around to make sure no one was looking then I quickly grabbed the two eggs and ran to look for some more, I found two more.

At the end, me and my two friends Lily and Molly sat down on the concrete and showed each other what was in them.

April Fool's Disaster

One normal day in November 2009, there was a fast food restaurant named Rade-x. They sold hot dogs and chips and stuff like that.

A boy named Tom went there every week to get a hot dog. Tom had a sister who was really into science and equations. Tom had to bring her to the fast food shop as well because she was too young to stay at home on her own. Every time they went, she would get chips. It was always the same. This time it was different.

I was talking about Olivia. During the night there was some strange noises coming from the pigsty enclosure outside.

Braydon’s Search For His Parents

Braydon Bear woke up early and looked around the forest. The sun shone through the leaves, the air was damp. He yawned and looked for his mum and dad, Billy and Becky, but couldn’t see them. There was an elephant called Aiden.  His greatest wish was to go to the moon.  His greatest fear was sharks and mice.  His best friend was a unicorn called Hudson.

Aiden and Hudson were the best of friends.  This friendship started the day the zookeeper left the gate open for the elephant enclosure.  So all of the elephants were able to run free!  Every elephant went a different way.  Some went south, some north, some east and even west! But Aiden ran up the rainbow!

The Worst Day Ever

Ok, you noticed I am angry, but this time am so angry. I'll tell you the story. On my way to ballet I tripped. I thought my knee was broken but it was not. When I got to ballet my tights were tight and itchy. My ballet teacher said that I was disturbing her class so I got kicked out of class. When shopping with mum, I remember it was turn to pick the cereal. So I picked Rainbow Pops but mam said I have porridge and that it was a waste buying them.

She wouldn’t even let him have one go on Snake Master’s Revenge 2, his favourite game ever!!

Cara always hogged the computer, she said it was for her homework but really she used it to watch videos on YouTube.

Once upon a time in a land far, far away there lived a crew of salty scary pirates on their ship, The Black Donkey.

Peter and Plexus were the top bananas. They’d met in Pirate School. Peter had a very little brother called Nugget. Boon was very booney, booting people off the ship when he felt like it. Furry had a hairy chest with a gold jewelled necklace. Claw had sharp fingernails. Double Duck Quack Quack was half duck.  He said “Quack quack” after every sentence.  Chef Dusty was the head chef. If he was angry, Chef Dusty would bang his meat cleaver - especially if anyone asked for seconds.
