A Showcase of Stories, Poetry and Song by Young People - Saturday, 28 September
What is Story Slam?
It's a series of open mic events run by Fighting Words that provide an opportunity for young people between 13-18 years from across the island of Ireland to share their stories, poems and songs at in-person and online events.
We know that young people in Ireland are full of creativity and now is your opportunity to share it an audience of fellow writers, family and friends!
Cool! Will it be recorded?
Yes! Story Slam events will also be recorded for an episode on The Fighting Words Podcast.
Coming Soon - The first Story Slam in Dublin!
The first Story Slam event will take place at the Fighting Words centre in Dublin on Saturday, 28 September 2024 from 5pm to 7pm.
Who will be there?
Young people near Dublin, aged 13-18, to sharing their own original stories, poetry and songs, along with family, friends and the staff and mentors from Fighting Words.
Not in Dublin?
If you live further afield and would like to perform, do let us know, as we are looking at possibilities for remote participation.
