Irish Times Supplement 2013 - Call For Submissions! 13-18 Years
Fighting Words will publish our third annual magazine of new writing with The Irish Times in May 2013.

We are looking for submissions from secondary school students (i.e. 13-18 year olds) for this year's supplement.
Submission Guidelines
We are looking for short pieces of fiction on any theme.
Word Count: maximum 1, 500 words
Format: please use Times New Roman, font size 12, double spaced, for submissions.
Include: your name, age, contact details (telephone number and email address) and word count
Please note: only a limited number of pieces will be published. These will be selected from all the work submitted. While the magazine will be predominantly short fiction, we also welcome monologues, scripts, poems etc, for submission, as well as extracts from longer pieces. All pieces will be considered.
Deadline: please submit work by Friday, 1st March, 5.00 pm.

Copies of the magazine will go out with The Irish Times. There will be no fee paid for work published. The newspaper has a very wide circulation, so it is a great opportunity to have a piece of work published. Again, there is no guarantee that by submitting a piece of work it will be published.
