GLOBAL WRITING LOCKDOWN

Let’s make a deal! When the current Covid-19 restrictions are lifted, we will go to shows, eat in restaurants, play sport, have parties and give granny a big kiss.

But until then: wash your hands, cough into your sleeve, maintain social distancing and make a book with us!

WHY GLOBAL WRITING LOCKDOWN?
We miss each other! We need each other. Now we have to find a way to be there for each other, separately. The global pandemic brings uncertainly and worry – but it also opens us up to new perspectives. Let’s share them with each other!

Fighting Words is a proud member of The International Alliance of Youth Writing Centers, one of more than 50 youth writing organisations that collectively support over 150,000 young people globally to write a brighter, better future.

Our colleagues at Ordskaelv in Denmark are coordinating the publication of Global Writing Lockdown – a collection of stories from around the world: stories that we write together, separately. We welcome contributions from all ages! All contributors will be invited to the digital release party in your (and all contributors’) living room on 11 July 2020.

We look forward to co-creating this publication with you. See below for all the info you need to contribute...
