Governance
As a registered charity, Fighting Words CLG has signed up to the Charities Regulator Governance Code and works actively to implement the Code in full.
Per the Charities Regulator regulations, Fighting Words has commenced compliance reporting for the Governance Code from 2021.
The Board has resolved to comply with the principles of good fundraising and its commitment to comply with SORP.

Child Safeguarding and Protection
At Fighting Words, we are committed to the highest standards of child protection.
All members of staff and volunteer mentors are trained are Garda vetted and trained in child protection. Providing a safe and protected environment to enjoy storytelling and creative writing is at the heart of everything we do.
We welcome feedback from parents and teachers as well as children and young people. Our policies are updated bi-annually or as necessary, in line with best practice.
