Summer Camps

About Our Summer Camps

Fighting Words runs three- and four-day summer camps throughout July and August annually. The camps cover creative writing in all its forms, from comic books to songwriting, from filmmaking to short fiction. All camps are run by experienced professionals in their given field and supported by trained Fighting Words volunteers. As with all Fighting Words programmes, our summer camps are free of charge.

Camps are aimed at one of three age groups: 8-10 years, 11-13 years and 14-17 years. Due to the popularity of our camps and to ensure fairness, participants are limited to one camp only, we are very strict with regard to age ranges and places are allocated by lottery.

Our camps are highly participatory and a lot of fun. Come explore your creativity with us at our centres in Dublin and Glencree, Co. Wicklow!
