The Fish Trip

St Fiachra’s Senior National School, Beaumont, 6th Class, 29 November 2016

Ever since I was a little fish, I’d always wanted to climb Mount Everest.

But I was scared of heights. And also, I was too big to get out of the water.

My best friend, Jeff the unicorn, came to help me get out of the water. He shrunk me to the size of a shrimp with his magical horn. He taught me how to fly as well.

Clyde’s Big Escape

Jonathan Swift NS, Dunlavin, County Wicklow, 3rd, 4th, 5th & 6th, 24 November 2016

Clyde the Kitten is in the street feeling lonely and wishing for a family.

He sees someone eating a hot-dog so jumps up to get the hot-dog off him.

The hot-dog turns out to be magical and it teleports Clyde to the Candy Kingdom.

Azure Jenkins and the Lost Stone

St Andrew’s NS, County Wicklow, 5th Class, 23rd November 2016

In a little cottage, in a really deep forest in Co. Wicklow, Alisia Crotchet came over and then she blew up the cottage.

She blew up the house and then Paddy the Troll, from a different part of the forest, saw the smoke rising; he went over to see what had gone wrong.

When he went over he saw a dead body lying on the floor.

Football Phobia

Parke National School, Castlebar, Mayo, 5th and 6th Class, 22 November 2016

Jason the duck was in Duck Park training fields, once again trying to overcome his fear of footballs with his friend Percy Pegasus.

When Jason was four years old, he had fallen over a football and fractured his leg, which was very painful and left him bedridden for three months.

It happened during the hottest summer ever recorded in Duckton Town.

Half way there

Blessington no 1 NS, County Wicklow, 5th & 6th Class, 22nd November 2016

As Dave left the room he realised he had to go to the shop because he had run out of peanuts.

When he was in the shop he saw a magazine with the moon on it and thought it was pretty.

He realised he forgot his wallet and he had to go back home.
