The Little Daisy Princess

​Snugboro NS, Castlebar, Mayo, 1st class, 13 December 2016

After the storm, Daisy the little girl cat found herself trapped in a hole. 

Daisy was very frightened. She began to cry and as the tears fell from her eyes, daisies began to fall from her paws, and as the tears ran down her cheeks, she turned to stone.

As she stopped crying she turned back into herself. 

Dog’s Life

​Cuilmore National School, Castlebar, Mayo, 2nd - 6th Class, 13th December 2016 

Terrified of being eaten by a T-Rex, Pog the dog lives on a farm in the middle of no where with a few chickens, a sheep and a goat. 

Paulie the Puppy goes to Pog the dog looking very worried and says “I can’t find Popcorn the Poptart cat”. 

A Crazy Duck And A Plan

St Fiachra’s Senior National School, Beaumont, 6th Class, 13 December 2016 

Jeremiah the Duck was a crazy duck and his only friend was Swiggles the talking marshmallow. 

His dream was to fly to the moon and his greatest fear was Swedish fish. 

One day Jeremiah and Swiggles made a plan to fly to the moon in a rocket. 

The Final Spice Fight

St Benedict’s National School, Ongar, 6th Class, 8 December 2016 

It was a long day for Craig the Curry Wizard. After a few weeks Mr. Ice cream came to his house to invite him for a battle. 

The battle was to see who was worthy of the secret curry powder in Samuel the Spice Bag’s bag. 

For the next few days they were constantly training separately to prepare for their battle: 

Chicken Trouble

​Scoil Mológa, Harolds Cross, Dublin 6W, 3rd Class, 7 December 2016 

Marla worked in a tub of chicken. Someone took a bite out of Marla and she had to go to the food hospital in Fridgetown. 

While she was in the fridge, Bob opened the door to look for Timothy (the hot-dog flavoured milkshake) and a spare piece of chicken for the meal he was selling. 

Bob worked in a place called Chicken Fries Hut. He worked at Chicken Fries Hut to earn the money to get the iPhone 7+.

Tony’s adventures

St Andrew’s NS, Bray, County Wicklow 2nd Class, 7th December 2016

Once upon a time there was a flying cub lion with angel wings. He was called Tony.  

Tony had a best friend who was Joe, the flying piece of bacon.

One day, Tony went to Tesco’s to buy some bacon to feed to Joe.  

The Moustache Shaver

Once upon a time there was a man called Mr. Wiggle Moustache who lived in a cottage in the woods. 

He lived with his best friend Jeff the cool footballer.

He lived in a forest on top of a rainbow where there were pink fluffy unicorns dancing on it. 

Floppy the Octopus Boy

St Colmcille’s Junior National School, Knocklyon. 2nd Class, 5th December 2016

Once upon a time there was a boy called Floppy and he had eight octopus arms. 

Floppy the octopus boy was very floppy, big and unlucky. 

His mom was a mermaid and that’s where he got the hands on his octopus arms.
