One Pile of Bones

Blarney Street Boys National School, County Cork, 4th Class 07 February 2017

It was 1977. Bottle flipping was just made up by a random guy on the street. There was a bottle flipping competition on Bear Lake. 

Skeldrik wanted to sign up for the bottle flipping competition. 

He had to go to Albert Street to sign up. They wouldn’t let him sign up because he was a skeleton. 

Super Zero in Gnomelovania

Super Zero woke up to Genward the Llama-corn bursting through the window. 

Genward started shouting at Super Zero 

“Get out of your pyjamas!” Genward was really excited about his new sneakers. 

The Girl with the Pig Nose

Once upon a time, a girl named Penelope was in her house in Orlando, Florida lying in her bed. 

Penelope was dreaming. In her dream, there was a nasty witch. 

The witch said, “You shall have a pig nose!” The witch waved her wand. 

The Two Worst Friends

One day, Billy Bob Joe the chicken went for a walk down the street. 

He was going to Candyland. 

He saw Rainbow the unicorn, his best friend. 

The Maddest Maddest Fiend of All

Once upon a time there was a boy called Jordan the Mad Fiend who lived in the USA. 

He lived in a big house and his room was a basement. He had a really mean Grandfather. 

The only person he could talk to was Jerry the Oven, but he wishes he was a human. 

Roman and the Big Adventure

Once upon a time, there was a dog called Roman. But Roman lost his family. 

His family were worried about him. Roman was in the house alone when a grown-up boy came to take him away. 

The boy brought him to his house and kept him there, in prison.

The Lonely Boy

Michael was a teenager who was very lonely. His only friend was his dog Cookie. 

Michael was new to his school and was trying to make friends. 

He bumped into some bullies in school. They started calling him names.

My name is Penelope and this is how my life began…

One day in my school, Blobwarts, a new boy came into class.  It was Blob Marley, my best friend.  

He had finally transferred over to my school from the Y-men academy.  

The Big Game

Once upon a time, in a faraway land, there was a cheetah called Dexter and a wolf called Wolfie. Dexter’s best friend was Poppy the unicorn. 

Dexter the cheetah played football all day long. He never stopped playing football. 

He was just learning but he wanted to be the best footballer in the world

Wrong is not Right

Our Lady of the Wayside, Kilternan, County Wiclow, 31 January 2017 

It was a glum and wet day in the centre of China, and a bully had just chased Da-kumi. 

Since it was so dark, Da-kumi asked his friend, Jimothy the Rat who had radioactive powers, to glow.

Jimothy had low batteries, though, so couldn’t glow.
