“Another great day, living in a tree,” said Tree Turtle to himself as he looked out over his balcony while eating wet toast.
Just then, Tree Turtle spotted Vulchie the vulture flying around, scanning the area for enemies.
Vulchie tumbled into the balcony and fell straight into Tree turtle’s wet toast.
Tree Turtle made a noise to show he was annoyed. “No! My soggy toast!” he cried in a dramatic voice.
“No. Enemies. Detected.” Vulchie said robotically.
“You nearly crashed into my plan,” said Tree Turtle, as he picked up his papers from the floor.
“What. Is. Your. Plan?” asked his best friend.
“Promise you won’t tell anyone?” Tree Turtle asked. “Cross your heart and hope to die?”
Vulchie was standing on one leg, waiting to hear the plan.
“So, my plan is to overthrow the kingdom,” Tree Turtle explained. “To do that, I have to kidnap my brother Tea Turtle,” he continued.
The next morning, Tree Turtle was packed and ready to go. He hopped on Vulchie’s back and flew across the desert towards the kingdom.
