The Hobo of Kevinopolis

St Kevin’s NS, Tarahill, 5th class, County Wicklow, 26th October 2017

HOBO Joe cowered in his box from the rain, in the second biggest city in Jamaica.

Joe and Strudel the rabbit were in the back streets of Kevinopolis. They were cold in the rain.

“I have a bad feeling,” says Strudel.

Suddenly, the rabbit saw some children running towards him out of the corner of his eye.

They ran into their alleyway and kidnapped Strudel, putting him in a bag and running away.

“Noooo!” Screamed Joe. As Hobo Joe drifted to sleep alone that night he dreamt of having his own toilet.

Whenever Joe sees Strudel getting kidnapped, he would always scare them aware by shouting.

This time they knew what Joe would do. They knew what was coming.

There was more of them, and they surrounded Joe and Strudel, then one came from the back.

They had a plan.

In the morning Joe discovered a note the children had left.

“If you want Strudel back, meet me at the far corner of Kevinopolis, with your box – and you can have Strudel back.

“Come alone,” it read.
