The writers from Collinstown Park Community College travelled to Naas Printers this week to see their book hit the press. The collection of short stories 'What's the Stories?' will be launched next week!
Fighting Words is once again hosting workshops as part of the Bealtaine Festival, the month-long nationwide festival that celebrates creativity as we age.
This year, we have partnered with the Intergenerational Learning Programme at Dublin City University to bring together older people and children to create new stories.
Fourth class girls from Our Lady of Victories Girls National School participated in two workshops, the first at DCU on April 28th and the second at Fighting Words on May 5th.

Fighting Words is delighted to be part of the 2017 5 Lamps Arts Festival! Join us for a fun and imaginative workshop where we will create characters and write a story together.
Then write your own ending, draw pictures and at the end of the workshop, take your story home to show all your family and friends!

Thinking about Dublin in the future - how will the city look, how will landmarks change and how will they be used. A tour of Croke Park acts as the inspiration for the creative writing workshop that follows. Use the ideas to create your own pieces of writing around the theme 'Dublin in the Coming Times.'
The Fighting Words Mayo team recently ran a fantastically fun workshop with the Belleek and Moy Brownie groups at the Jackie Clarke Collection in Ballina.
Up in the Wicklow Mountains, stories are written by primary and secondary school students at Fighting Words Glecree, opened in September 2016.
Primary and secondary school workshops run Tuesday through Thursday.
