"Fighting Tuesdays is a book containing different stories written by teenagers from Dublin. They include action, crime, friendship, romance and horror. Once you start reading you'll find it hard to stop. Don't be shy, just buy!"
Students of Larkin Community College

"The stories in this book all have a real punch because they are all written from the heart. They are the honest view of life from the inside, written by a group of Dublin students who are describing the world as it is today."
Hugo Hamilton

"That's one of the reasons I enjoyed Tuesday afternoons, the fighting Tuesdays. Twenty-four young writers sat and wrote the stories in this book, and I watched them. Their frowns and dark concentration, their laughter, their yawns and stretches - what is it about teenagers and their ability to stretch to three or four times their normal length?"
Roddy Doyle

On Tuesday 27th April, Transition Year students from Larkin Community College, along with volunteers from Fighting Words, visited Colour Books in Baldoyle .
They had the opportunity to see the making of “Fighting Tuesdays”.

On Tuesday 4th May, Transition Year students from Larkin got their printed version of THEIR book.

Fighting Words and The Stinging Fly gratefully acknowledge funding support from The Arts Council/An Chomhairle Ealaíon towards the printing of this book.
